She sat at a decorated café table in the middle of a flowering field of white, enjoying a slice of sponge cake, layered with strawberries and cream. The feel of the soft cushion beneath her, the scent of fresh earth and grass, and the taste of the berries and the cream lingering on her tongue were something out of this world. From her left, a little figure hopped right over while holding a silver tray, a small rabbit dressed in the manner of a butler.
With a sigh she took up her saucer and tea cup, lifted the ceramic to her lips. She felt a mote of disappointment. A rabbit, huh? She would have expected a cat.
"Miss...? Miss, is everything to your liking?" The rabbit's little voice asked, nose twitching, ears high. She turned her head to answer in the affirmative, but was in mid-sip.
Her tea turned sour. In surprise, she dropped her cup and moved to spit it out, but it seemed to thicken and coat the inside of her mouth, slide back. She coughed, flecks of black (black!?) plopping against the nice tablecloth. When the flecks began to spread like ink, she stood and knocked her chair back.
"Ah... at last..."
Her eyes watered as she coughed and struggled to clear her mouth, but droplets that pattered to the field matched the tea, long black streaks running down both cheeks. The air buzzed, quickly lost in a low, terrible drone as the black fluid continued to spread, sweeping over the table, over the field. It was swallowing everything, and in her building confusion, her now-irrational mind only realized that the rabbit was gone.
Madhuri heard a soft giggling around her, a blissful sigh in so many voices, too many to count. When she looked down, she watched as slits formed upon her exposed skin, plumping and opening to form mouths. So many mouths... the color of her dress was fading. Her skin was fading, graying. Everything around her was graying...
Everything was fine. Everything was fine.
"L i a r," the mouths answered, a mocking tone.

Let's start with the basics. ]
Are you going to be alright?
This is Jiang Wanyin.

The trick is figuring out what it means. I'm so sorry you had to see it.

I don't know anything about interpreting dreams but if you don't want to be alone with your thoughts now, I am here.
[ He may not know much about dream interpretation but he knows how unwelcoming your own mind can be after an upsetting dream. ]

I've known folk who can see the future or even witness the past in full clarity with their Echo. Would that I could be so fortunate...!
I used to love the puzzle-solving as a child, to tell you the truth, but lately it's always been the threat of something, and boy does it get tiring after a fashion.

Those people who can see the future clearly, are they able to make a difference with their knowledge? It seems very cruel to know what tragedies will befall you, but are unable to change anything about it.

I've had my mornings of springing from bed and bringing urgent news to complete strangers. But this one feels personal.
I wonder what I've "lied" about. I'm perfectly happy right now, save for just one thing.

Do the rabbit or the landscape hold any meaning to you? Or anything else you saw?

I enjoy tea parties, however. It's such a silly and frivolous thing, but tea and quaint little settings always bring me so much joy. Hmm. But the one thing might be troubling me in a new way, but how I can address it I'm not sure... not without my warrior's stone. It went missing when I woke up here in Reverein.

I never had the patience to enjoy for formal tea ceremonies, but I do like tea and sharing it with my friends or family.

Reverein doesn't have a 'lost and found' does it?

As a community, we should appoint someone or someplace to take care of ownerless items we stumble across.

But your words are a comfort, even from a distance. I feel less like a fool who's dropped her things everywhere. Thank you.

If you want to blame anyone, blame the tapirs.

But I never thought of losing it while whisked away. I suppose I've never been whisked before.
Still, I think the drink may finally be taking hold. Hopefully I'll figure this omen out and be better prepared in the future. I apologize for worrying.

You may contact me if you wish for someone to speak to again.

May I? Then I shall. Hopefully you won't grow sick of me, Jiang Wanyin.

And now rest. Recover from what drink is taking effect on you.
[ He assumes it to be alcohol. He would certainly want a strong drink after dreams like that. ]

Right away, Ser!
