Hello, everyone!

Since there are so many new dreamwalkers who've just arrived, I thought it might be nice to encourage everyone to get together and meet! There is a communal firepit in a clearing just outside of the residential area where I've got a fire going, and I have plenty of supplies to make "s'mores," which I only just learned about recently. (Thank you, Miss Tifa!) If you haven't had this before, please come and try it, it's delicious!

Additionally, I have a request for everyone to please keep an eye out for a few individuals... I realize that this may be in vain since their names did not appear in the directory, but just in case...

Colin
He is a tall, half-elven man with long, dark hair. He is very charismatic and funny and likely to be found busking with his lute somewhere or telling stories!

Aerie
Also tall, but fully an elf, very pretty and intelligent, also with dark hair (but not related to Colin!). She usually has three wolves with her. Extremely competent hunter!

Mellon
Also tall, also fully an elf, he usually does not wear a shirt. He loves to drink and might try to clear out any supply of alcohol... Please do not get into a tavern brawl with him.

Dae
Also tall, and also fully an elf, with white hair and red eyes. He is very good at magic and possibly would want to spar with you! Would likely have an owl familiar with him.

Cibark
Even taller and very very strong! He is a half-orc with green skin and usually wears armor and wields large weapons. He has a very dashing and heroic aura about him!

Sian
Not tall! They usually wear a cloak and a mask. Usually quiet but very sassy. They might be flying around, but they also don't usually remember that they can do that.

If at any point in the future you come across anybody who seems to fit these descriptions, please let me know!

What are s'mores? And as a new arrival, I really appreciate you doing this for everyone!

Some of us aren't exactly...good at socializing so this will be just the thing to get people out and about! [ Him. He isn't good at socializing. ]

It's no problem at all, I'm happy if it helps someone settle in.

So, you make s'mores by roasting a marshmallow over the fire until it's warm and gooey and then you sandwich it in between chocolate and crackers! It's really warm and sweet and delicious, and most of all comforting!

Please feel free to stop by whenever you feel up to it, Shigeru. And I hope you're settling in all right!

Does this always happen for newcomers? I wouldn't mind lending a helping hand if it does. I'm a pretty good cook so if you ever need someone to prepare stuff for this kind of get-together I would love to help!!

I understand... the fire pit is in a big clearing, so hopefully there will be plenty of room for everyone. I don't anticipate this turning into a big party or anything, but if it gets to be too much please let me know! I can help you slip away easily.

Oh! Do you enjoy cooking as well, Shigeru? This is the first time I've done anything like this for the newcomers, but if you'd be interested in helping next time we can work together!

Yes I do! I find it to be really relaxing, and fun! Making new recipes and figuring out new flavor combinations is always interesting.

So I would definitely love to help out! Except...I can't really communicate very well? But maybe I can just be the cook or something!?

Oh, I agree with everything you've said! Cooking really can help you relax, can't it? And it's fun to eat something that you made yourself, and to share it with people that you care about...

Ah! I understand. I want to accommodate whatever you would feel most comfortable doing, Shigeru, so we can think about it as we plan! Though you just gave me a thought...

Have you experimented much with dreamotion since you've arrived here? I only ask because... I've found that sometimes, when I'm having trouble articulating how I'm feeling or thinking in words, dreamotion can help impart those to others. But I understand if that's not something you'd like to explore!

It's really nice...getting to see people happy from something you've worked hard on, isn't it? I like to learn new recipes because it lets me experience a person's culture too! [ But wait...he never considered dreamotion before?! ]

It's all a little new to me but...but I'd really like to try learning that?! I didn't...I haven't really gotten the hang of this place's magic quite yet. Maybe we could...implement that into that welcome party of yours as well?

I mean!! It might make it less confusing and alarming for people, especially if they trigger it without meaning to.

Oh, I know how you mean exactly! I've learned lots of new recipes from other people here, and it's really so special to get to learn and cook with them!

But as for dreamotion... I think that it some people can get the hang of it faster than others, but that's okay. Everyone has their own path with this kind of thing. Magic is something that I already did before coming here, so in a way that helped me understand how to use dreamotion more easily. But we can take it one step at a time!

I'm definitely planning on using it for this gathering. I'm glad we had the same idea!

My powers rely on emotions to an extent so it might not be so bad trying it out. So your world has magic as well? What kind of powers do you have?! [ Magic is a thing where he comes from as well, so this isn't as strange to learn or hear. ]

Like you've guessed, I come from a world with magic as well, so I'm prepared to handle any side-effects we might cause. My powers come from nature and the primal elements! Like manipulating plant growth and the elements and such...

This reminds me, though, Miss Tifa, who taught me about the s'mores, also had the idea of inviting everyone for a gathering where people can bring food to share from their home worlds! Would that be something that you're interested in helping with too, Shigeru?

I would love to practice with someone, especially if they're really good at it like you seem to be! Wow, so you can make anything grow?! Can you bring plants back to life?? Oh, can you talk to them?! I always wondered what they were thinking/saying... [ Shigeru, stop. ]

Something like that would be amazing!! Ah...but I...I can't talk. I'm...mute so explaining things like that is difficult for me. Do you think it would be alright if I came anyway?

Goodness, no! I don't think I'm that good at it... I've just practiced quite a bit since getting here. So I'm happy to help people get used to it! As for my magic: yes, and yes! I talk to trees quite often, actually. They usually know a lot and have a lot to say, even if they say things very slowly!

Of course you can come. And you can still help organize it, I'm sure. Like arranging the spread when everyone arrives and such. But you can also attend! I know I would be happy for your company no matter what. Whatever you would feel most comfortable!
