hey, did you guys notice the huge fruit tree that showed up near the new ocean? it's got big giant yellow star-shaped fruits growing from it that are called paopu fruit. they taste like a pineapple mixed with a pear. sounds pretty tasty, right?

there's also a legend back home about these fruits. i thought you might wanna know.

"If two people share one, their destinies become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what."

i've always liked that legend a lot. i don't know if it's true for sure but it's nice to think that if you share one with someone really special to you that you can always be a part of each other's lives. if that doesn't sound like love, i don't know what is. it might be nice to try it with someone sometime, huh? go for it!

[Ah, right... he had shared it with Kairi, once. He was vaguely aware of that while he was still in Sora's heart, though he had done his best to not pry too hard into the other's memories.]

[Sora's question, however, makes him pause, and there's a notable delay before he replies.]

[He doesn't mind sharing the details he doesn't think it's that much of a big deal. It's sweet to him. But the pause in response makes him hesitate.]

[Sora is one who was willing to share things with those he considered friends, after all. As for Roxas? He still pauses for a moment before writing.]

Well, if it's someone who's not here, then I'm not really sure who to pick. I mean, just picking one or two people from all the people I'd want to keep a part of my life is a little hard to do.

And if we're talking people from here, then I'm not really sure if I know anyone who would want to.

it's not a big deal if you can't share one right now. when you find the person you wanna try it with, you'll know! even if it's not here it can be back home too!

I guess I'm just still a little confused about it. Like, you share it with people you care for, right? So, could I share fruit with all my friends? Is there enough fruit for that?

yeah, even if he made some faces about it i think he was pretty happy about it in the end.

and honestly, i don't really know if it works if you shared it with more than one person but i don't see why it couldn't? i bet it does work because it's about the effort of doing that together that makes the legend work.

I think it would be funny to see what his face looked like when you offered it.

[Roxas can imagine it, and he grins at the thought.]

Huh... ok. Cause I think those would be the most important people for me. Hayner, Pence, Olette, Axel, Xion... I'd even include Saix, if Axel asked. Not to mention that now, there's everyone else, too.

But if I had to choose one? I'm not sure if I could.

that's a really great answer, roxas. you know, i don't think you need the fruit in the end. i think as long as we keep each other in our hearts that's the best thing you can do.

Yeah. It's not how much we see each other, but how often we think about each other, right?

Even if we don't share a paopu fruit, my friends and I have an unbreakable connection. That's good enough for me, I think.

[Roxas has to take a moment to pause, chuckling at those words. Sora is always so caring... He knows that, but seeing it always blindsides him.]
