I'll never understand what all the fascination is with one day that was arbitrarily chosen to be significant.

Don't hand me those lines about it being a time to show "good will" and "appreciation" for your fellow man. If people truly believed those ideals were important they wouldn't need to adhere to a schedule to be reminded to extend that gratitude, nor would it lead to the near-riots at limited time sales. Nothing says "Peace on Earth" quite like elbowing someone else out of the way so you can grab the last product off the shelf for yourself.

It's all a marketing ploy.

Virtual reality?! That's pretty amazing. Monsters are very real in my world so seeing them used for fun it...interesting?

Is there? Well if it's from a magical world then yes! The explanation would be magic. But I guess you mean worlds that don't have it, right? I don't really know what that's like but my world has both scientific and magical explanations for separate things. The logic for some places isn't the same as others, but that's also okay, given the fact that this place is a dream world so that's already pretty farfetched, isn't it?

In any case, we've actually combined magic and science together to make some pretty amazing tech.

That's not an explanation.. it's literally just a word that doesn't describe the intricacies of how the effect is produced or created. When will I learn to just stop trying with you people? Actually, I've already produced a few theories as to how this dream environment is possible, but I get the impression that it would go over your head entirely.

Even if it does go over my head I'd like to hear your thoughts! This place is really fascinating, so hearing everyone's theories is always interesting to me!

As for that...technology that's coupled with magic is called MDAWCE (Magical Devices Aligned with Cursed Energies). Since people, like me, who have powers have them through our ancestral curse. But usually, we just call it Mtech, or just magtech. There are a few companies that have it mass-produced like Seritech and TATFAM (Technologies Against The Fight Against Miasma) but even their products get the mtech label. [ Listen sometimes people pretend they don't care but in actuality they really do!! ]

I don't know. Maybe you got curious one day and just decided to check it out.
