so i realized it would be easier to just introduce myself this way. save some time, let everyone get to know me. the name's Chai. i'd say 'maybe you've heard of me' but probably... not. yet! not yet.

so about me: cool dude, robot arm, musical robot superpowers. peppermint would probably yell at me for telling everyone that last one but it's a dream! it's fine. and yeah, i can play guitar. ... or i'm learning how, anyway.

what's everyone's favorite kind of music? i like punk rock, pop-punk, skate punk... i guess a lot of punk music. but i also like the occasional pop music as long as it's not overplayed? and i can appreciate a good chiptune or electronica beat.

speaking of which - can anyone send music wirelessly here? there's not like... internet... so i was guessing the answer was 'no', but i thought i'd ask anyway.

Oh, we've got a long way to go before reaching that point, buddy. Nobody here has even made any analog calculating machines yet. After that, we'd have to do punch card storage and then transistors before we move onto circuitry.

I can go ahead and make a radio for you to listen to. I've got a radio station of my own that I run. Plus there's no economy here, so it's free.

radio'd be nice. sometimes it's hard to hear other music over my own but it's good to branch out and hear new styles.

uh it's kind of hard to explain but basically i see everything to the beat. and if i smash enemies to the beat i can hit them harder and build up energy to use on other attacks. basically? it's kinda weird but it sure works.

i do like basically anything with a good beat.

The music I play is mostly from traditional instruments like the harp.

It's mostly a talk show. I talk about lots of different things, but mostly puzzles and made-up mystery stories. If you stop to listen, you might learn a thing or two about monster culture.

Alastor and Ralsei also have their own radio shows, but the latter is a cooking show.

I mean monster culture. I've lived among them my entire life. Well, most of my entire life. They were all trapped inside Mt. Ebott until recently. After they were freed, they went to live with the humans.

Alastor talks about anything. And also plays whatever music. He doesn't really have a niche.

pop-punk takes elements of pop music - like the kind of smoother notes, more upbeat melodies - and punk is louder and harsher. skate punk is a lot like that but faster. skate punk is omore associated with that kind of skater subculture... i used to hang out with some of those people in high school, but i couldn't ride a skateboard.

[It kind of helps to have two functional arms for balance.]

yeah. i'm still getting used to stuff here but my guitar came with me .and my arm still works here so like... there's no reason i can't.

okay but like what do you mean by monsters? there's a lot of different kinds of stuff in fiction that could be called monsters. but uh... good for them? no one likes being trapped.

i'm always up to cheer someone up! unless they're like... a total jerk? but at least where i'm from rockstars get their music heard by people around the world, get fame and fortune, and basically everyone loves them.

being on a stage in front of a crowd that's there to listen to me is my dream.

Isn't there something they call an "album" to share music with others? Perhaps a similar thing could also exist here.
