We went on a carriage ride together last month after the big blizzard. It was actually at night, not during the day, if that matters. But I didn't specifically hire the carriage for a date or anything. When I first got here, I helped a farmer with some of his horses, so as a reward, he gave me a free carriage ride. I didn't really want to go alone, so I invited one of my friends to go with me.

It felt crazy at the time, but it wasn't that complicated. A couple of girls came to my locker at the same time to try to catch me, I guess, and by the time I got there, there was a crowd and the two were yelling and pulling each other's hair. It kind of felt like trying to disarm a bomb, honestly.
