Subject: That Wasn't A Joke

Sorry to those that knew Reaper and I were planning to get married soon, we got to talking and ended up eloping rather than having a public ceremony. It's official as of this morning though, as official as it can get in this place anyhow.

We're still going to be throwing an after party at The Wild Harvest, but we figure that will be better done tomorrow so we've got time to cook up food. Whoever shows up is also welcome to bring a dish or two themselves.

[Sorry about that one Tifa- and Eustace, too. Could face crowds for others, but something quieter for them felt more fitting.

Don't... don't mind the itty-bitty kitty paw prints slowly decorating the page, even as 76 wrote. He was currently at the Wild Harvest, sitting in his break room.]

Reason that banner is hung up there at the Wild Harvest- for those of you that noticed it and know what today is. Definitely not a joke. Reaper picked it out.

There will be party favors, by the way.

I won't tell him, and even try to keep him from reading over my shoulder. Not wrong, though- he just wants to keep that rep of his intact with those he doesn't like.

We've still got some cake left since it keeps well in an ice box, and hey- can help me in the house kitchen to make a nice meal just for us.

What sorta meal are you thinking?

Be a good use of this new kitchen, too. Bigger than the ne at the tree house we were in.

Something homey, maybe- you ever made a casserole? Got a lot of recipes from Ma, and still remember her friend chicken recipe, too. Or could go a little easier and make several pizzas.

Got some choices.

Of course I've made a casserole! Have rotated a couple through the specials at the Starflower every now and then, specially during the winter.

Not to brag, but Eustace and I make a mean chicken one.

[steadypulse]

My Ma had a recipe for a Tatter Tot Hot Dish- which is essentially like a Shepard's Pie, but with shredded potatoes on top of it instead of mashed. Use whatever meat's on hand and soon, as a busy mother tends to keep to help make a family dinner easier on occasion.

That right? Might have to try it one day, for sure.

Well, why not try it out this time around? When we come over, we'll be sure to make one.

Could even whip you guys up some of my signature drinks, too.

Honestly? Sounds like a plan, and means that Reaper and I can handle some dessert for all of us to have with those drinks.

And he's okay with that? I know he and Eustace aren't exactly... the best of friends, if you know what I mean.

The fact he's going so hard to get under Eustace's skin? Unfortunately in a way means he does like Eustace, even if it's just because of how he reacts.

Reaper has always been like that, even as a younger man.

I guess that's true. Between you and me, I think Eustace might actually like him, too.

But you and Reaper have known each other for a long time, huh? How did the two of you meet anyway?

[steadypulse]

Both of them playing at a want to keep up some reputation between them- or it's just how both of them are.

Most of my life, honestly. We met in the Soldier Enhancement Program, he was just about the only soldier there that didn't haze me over being number 76; they took it to mean I had been scared and hesitant to join. Reality was my superiors didn't want to chance the experiment killing me, since they didn't want to lose a 'valuable asset' with what skill I already had.

Reaper and I went through a lot together during the run through the program.

[Tifa realizes, in hindsight, that she doesn't actually know a whole lot about him, or his past, so hearing this is a bit surprising...]

Have you guys been together since then? Or was that a more recent thing?
