On May 5th of this year, it was my brother's 19th birthday. Or at least that's what I think it should be, if he were here.

I was lucky to encounter someone from his crew here, where I got to hear about his adventures in our world. But this person left and I couldn't hear all I wanted to know.

Lately I've been thinking about home again. I hadn't done so in a while because I actually really like this place! but I wonder how everyone back home is doing, you know?

What I'm saying is that I don't know what to do? Should I tell everyone how amazing my brother is? Should I talk more about my friends and crew back home? Or should I just keep trying to live in the moment?

I'm conflicted beyond belief.

Not always, since I can control it now, but when I was younger I would just burst into flames randomly!

And yup! I'm pretty warm all the time, which is great in winter but sucks in summer.

Yeah. Not exactly a great experience being the target of someone's deepest ire. Oh yes: we’re way stronger than that creepy angry man and his minions indeed.

Oh dear. That is really sad to hear. Is there something that prevents you from swimming in the water?

Yeah, I have this really cool power right? I can use, control, and turn into fire, but in exchange, I lost my ability to be in water. I turn into dead weight.

Yup! I can also melt snow really fast!

And it does help, but my body is pretty hot all the time.

I was always a very serious and well-behaved child, which was probably for the best. I'm not sure my parents would have been able to deal with seven rambunctious troublemakers.

Yeah, that is so true. Can’t let someone like him to ruin my life or even those of other people for forever. He wasn’t that pleasant of a human to begin with.

If he ever does show up in here for reason, I’ll give him a piece of my own mind to make sure that he doesn’t harm anybody ever again.

Gaining the ability to turn into fire in exchange to being unable to swim again and be a dead weight in water? Wow, that does come with some catches indeed. Still being able to turn into fire is a pretty neat magic though.

yup, and it's even worse if you live in a place that's mostly water, like my world.

Even with the drawbacks, I find my powers to be super useful and cool!

That is very understandable indeed. Not being able to swim in water with special abilities equipped can be troublesome for some folks. I have lived my life in the rainforest jungles of Colombia so I didn’t got the chance to see that much water or swim in it often other as the only water sources were a river and waterfall not far away from the town I live in.

But I absolutely agree with you too that it doesn’t mean that the other abilities can’t have their own uses and be cool on their own right. I may have super strength or being able to sew and make music like my younger sisters but I can weaponize plants against any enemies as I wish.

Yep, that worst kind of any living being to ever walk in the universe. They are like pesky flies that never want to leave.

I bet you could start a big fire for others when it gets really cold, too.

The picture that I drew was of Grillsby. I don't know if he's hot like that, too. Some monsters can start fires that aren't even all that hot.

That would have been very difficult for sure! Dadan had me and Luffy for the longest time and she had so much trouble with us!

During the summer months it does get hot sometimes but because we’re nearby a river and surrounded by trees it doesn’t get too hot for anyone’s liking.

Yes some plants can be dangerous for anyone to eat, animal and human alike. If one tries to eat some they could run the risk of getting poisoned and that can be horrible to one’s health.

It was lucky they had such a dutiful firstborn to help them with the rest of their brood. I'm not sure they'd have time for much else if I had been just as mischievous as the rest of them.
