[OOC:There are heavy spoilers for Shadowbringers onward in this post.]
Ever since arriving here -- or rather more aptly drifted to sleep -- G'raha had been keeping himself busy. Whether it be to learn more about this place or his aetheryte research, he'd been hard at work. Upon waking up here, he had worried about the others and maybe even coming alone. It was comforting to know he wasn't here alone.
Seeing this as an adventure of sorts has really helped him adjust. Even with that in mind, he missed the Crystarium and the others he's grown used to seeing all of the time. He had promised not to worry too much about them when Lyna and the others asked him not to and to live his life his way. While he was certain that they could handle themselves and take care of the First in his stead, it didn't stop him from feeling a little lonely.
So sometime late at night, dream lanterns might get to pick up on a bright locale. Surrounding the area are trees with purple flowers on them, giving the area a purple hue. In the distance, a tall tower in the distance. The Crystal Tower is hard to miss, piercing the heavens, but what is nearly impossible to miss is just how bright it was. The blinding light shows no sign of dissipating either as a hooded figure rushed in the scene.
Surrounding a young girl with white hair and bunny ears were particular looking enemies . Though the figure was able to dispatch them quickly before they attacked the small girl, the figure could not save what looked to be her parents. The hood made it hard to see their expression, but they knelt down to the girl slowly.
"My apologies for not arriving sooner. Thank goodness I was able to save you in time. Are you hurt?" a man's voice rang out. With the girl shaking her head quietly, he let out a sigh of relief. "Good. We must quit this place. It's not safe here," he said as he offered his hand to the small girl.
Fast forward back at the Crystarium, he was left with questions about what to do with her now. Surely she would be safe here, but he could hardly leave her to fend for herself. She seemed to have warmed up to him since then. He'd never looked after a child before, but it couldn't t be that hard, could it?
He did his best to watch over her, all while trying to fulfill his role as the Exarch. Every day there were plenty of problems to try to take care of. While preoccupied in his work, he hardly noticed Lyna enter his study with a bright smile.
"Excuse me, My Lord, I hope you don't mind. I was wanted to thank you for saving me somehow. I noticed you work a lot, so I thought that I could at least make you something to eat," she said. In her small hands was a basket of sandwiches. They were not the best-made sandwiches, but that didn't matter. She looked so proud of her work and put so much thought into this kind gesture.
He couldn't help but smile under his cowl. Setting down his quill, he accepted the basket from her. "Lyna... Thank you. That was sweet of you," setting the basket down on the table, he moved to pat the top of her head. He may have no experience in taking care of a child, but he was determined to do his best.
Time went by and by now Lyna had already grown older and joined the guard. All was quiet in the Ocular until the door slammed open, causing him to jump at the sudden noise as Lyna stormed in.
"You have been in here all day . Have you even eaten yet?" she asked him, clearly not pleased.
"Ah, Lyna... I'm fine. I'm not hungry right now. I'm on the verge of a--," he started, but was interrupted, "a breakthrough. Yeah, yeah. I know. You need to take better care of yourself. Please, take a break. Get some food."
"There is no need to worry. I'll be done soon enough," he tried to reassure her. "No, now. Before I have to drag you out," she insisted. Letting out a sigh, he rose from his chair to face her, "Very well... Shall we go then?"
From there the dream began to fade as he shifted from his slumber.

I don't know how I want to word this lol. My bad.
Most things to being scolded over are worth it in the end. If it's important enough then I can handle it.
Lol u good
Or, alternatively, you can just take the hint. Then there'd be no reason to receive a lecture in the first place. is it that hard?
no subject
Right... [This is getting them nowhere.] I will be sure to keep that in mind.
no subject
What was so important anyway, that you would lose all sense of time?
no subject
A lot of things really. At this particular time though? Saving the First. By saving the First from the Rejoining. If the First succumbed to its' fate, the fate of the Source would also be irrevocably be doomed.
[And the people he cared about would face the end that he foresaw. That was one thing he could not allow to happen.]
no subject
[ So it's just more accurate to say "the lives on the Source" to Vanitas. There's a distinct difference. To him. ]
Here I thought you already knew what your plan was for that from the get go.
no subject
[He paused for a moment and then a sigh.]
I've contemplated a plan of action for at least 100 years. I knew what I was going for and yet...
[How close he had been to losing it all. A bigger risk than he should have gambled his dear friends' lives on. Things worked out in the end, but what if he hadn't been so lucky. That thought crippled him. He should have known better. He did know better. He just wanted to make it work at any cost; even if that meant his life in the end.]
no subject
[ Could go back and forth on what is considered "bleak" and who it would be bleak for. But he won't. ]
Looks like you need to learn to let that all go.
no subject
Right, well... Norvrandt was saved in the end. It matters naught the means so long as the Eighth Umbral Calamity has been adverted.
no subject
This time, anyway.

Maybe it's a difficult thing to do when you're thousands of years behind the curve.
[ Actually not trying to be a brat this time. Just curious and musing. ]
no subject
[There's only so much you can do, after all.]
