I thought at first to write in a rather sad and sorry manner, but I decided I don't want to do any of that and instead focus on positivity.

That moon is dreadfully late, isn't it? Tsk tsk. Should anyone find that pesky silver ball, give it a sound scolding for me, would you? I'll step in line behind you and remind it of a few dream-related annoyances I've had of late.

Well. Not all were annoyances. But if you know what I mean, I'll ask you kindly not to make mention of it. ~~I've embarrassed him enough.~~

ANYWAY, the point of my entry is that I am more than a little concerned with the dreadful dreams I've had flash over the lantern. Thus I offer a service: The Kriegstanz, a specialized dance that draws upon those pesky negative emotions and manifests them into something whose butt I can give my heel. My whole heel. The nastier the thoughts, the tougher the beast.

So while I have volunteered to dance in the square throughout the days until conditions improve and invite you all to bear witness so that I may give you a hand (I'm the one in the horns and a black tail, but I dare say I'm hard to miss even without those features ❤ )... I may need some experienced fighters to back me up on the butt-heeling portion. Sers Zhao and Kasuga, this'll be your big shot. But the more, the merrier.

Heck, I'll bring snacks. It'll be fun. What do you all say?

[Fortunately, she was honest in her mention of trying to stand out as much as she could. With proper warm-ups, a touch-up of her lipstick and lavish adornments from her hips and ankles, as well as countless sparkling charms all but dripping from her tail, any step from her came with a cheery little jingle of so much jewelry.

Let's see... here is good. As she drew her chakrams and filled her mind with a beat to follow, her feet followed suit. Light steps, a twirl, and onward she moved, following her Kriegstanz precisely as she was taught in her first days among Troupe Falsiam.

Would that she could have the volunteer band here, but she would have no such fortune- this was done on a whim, and not for one of her scheduled dances for some way to cleave through the nightmares flooding the minds of so many here...]

[The sound catches his attention first, and then......]

Whoa—!

[He suddenly feels a forceful tug?? He take a step in a direction, and then another, and then—]

??? How did—

[He somehow teleported from one end of the plaza to the other, with Madhuri just dancing away.]

[Now, what did this person look like? She supposed she could ask around. His name sounded rather doman-

Poof! There's a very surprised-looking fellow within arm's reach, and she stopped her step to look him over.]

Ser Rokurou, I presume...?

[But she started, face brightened as she brought her hands together.]

You are, aren't you!? What did it feel like? Tell me everything!

Uh, Madhuri?

[He can only hope it's the person he was talking with and not someone ELSE who might have this power. But don't mind him, he's still trying to get his bearings.]

It's—sorry, still trying to comprehend that it actually happened.

[She nodded- yes, yes, she was Madhuri! But now there was the 'what now' of what possibly could come about from such a revelation that his kind was indeed comprised of malevolent energy... and she could summon him.]

I promise to use this power for good! ...Even if you're nice and tall and would be an amazing help reaching high shelves...

Ah ha ha... [Just a dry laugh as he's also trying to think of what this could...mean.]

I don't mind if you need help with something, but would be nice if could have a warning. I wonder how far it reaches, too... I'm usually out in the forests fighting and training, so it would be bad if you suddenly pulled me away from a fight or if I'm in the middle of something.

[Like. In the bathroom. Or something.]

Well, at some point a range test could be done, but goodness knows I've had my fair share of instances where I've been pulled away from a fight.

[She put her face in a hand.]

You see, the healers in my world have this funny little spell called 'rescue', which draws their target to their location. It's meant to bring them to relative safety and all, but more times than I could count, I've been yanked in the middle of something and it feels more like a dog on a lead than anything else.

Needless to say, I truly mean using the power for good. I'm not a complete goblin. Only half of one.

Guess I can only take your word for it. But I have to admit, as disconcerting as it is... It's also interesting that you can do so at all. Wonder if you could summon the other daemons around here.

Do you have to actually think of the person for it to work?

[She shook her head.]

I don't. I'm not an aetherologist, but I understand the basics of how it all trends toward equilibrium. Maybe I become a conduit of positive energy and it draws the negative toward me to cancel each other out.

...So it's possible this could be completely random.

[Since he's surely not the only person with negative energy around... Right???? OTHER DEMONS HE KNOWS YOU EXIST—]

Possibly! I'd need to round up others that may have similar properties to you and do some further testing. Might you know of some?

They can have free pie for their cooperation. I made apple.

[She clasped her hands together in an added plea.]

I know at least one, though I feel as if I'd be ratting him out if I did.

But I'm also pretty sure he wouldn't care—Alastor is his name. He's a different kind of demon, so I'm not sure if he'll have the same properties, but can't hurt to ask.

[Alastor. How archaic. Sounded exactly like the kind of person to tap the shoulder of to do some further testing.]

Then I'll find Ser Alastor and inquire. What should I look for when seeking the fellow? We've the melting pot here in Reverein and I'll need a few distinguishing characteristics to go by.

He's pretty distinct. Tall, red, hair looks like horns, talks in a rather...articulate? Way? He's a pretty fun guy, though.

Ooh. Mysterious!

[She reached up and gave the tip of his nose a gentle tap.]

But thank you, dear, for being such a good sport about everything. I release you from my services, but it was an utmost pleasure summoning you across short distances.

We should do tea sometime. Experiment a little more.

[Well isn't she forward. But he just twitches his nose a little from the tap.]

Still not sure what to think of this, but it would be good to know the limits so I'll know what to expect in the future. But if I had to be summoned by someone, at least you seem like a fun person to be around. Should keep things interesting, hopefully.

Exactly. It could come in handy in a pinch someday, who knows?

Oh, stop, you're going to give me a big head. But I'll take the praise and tuck it away in my pocket for now. --Oh! Sheesh, hold on.

[She held up her hands for pause, then took off down the street to disappear. What?

But rather than make him go poof again, Madhuri had departed for no less than five minutes. Upon her return, she pushed a small box into Rokurou's hands.]

...Apple pie for one! All yours. Enjoy. No need to share.

[—Well. That was sudden. Rokurou stands there a little surprised, but he's patient and just waits, watching everyone else go about their business as he takes the time to think more about this new situation he's found himself in. Is this going to be a bad thing or... Maybe he should be a bit more worried about his autonomy, but on the other hand, if she gets into fights, wouldn't that mean he could be summoned to help?? That would a big pro if so.

As he's thinking such, he sees Madhuri return holding a box and is again surprised when it's shoved into his hands.]

Really? ...You sure?

[It feels sudden?? Not that he's going to refuse too much, though, free food is free food and who could say no to apple pie?]

Mhm. There's a little fork in there if you don't feel like waiting until you get back.

Enjooooy~!

[No takesie-backsies! Madhuri twirled on a heel and set off before the offering could possibly be refused. She had plans to draw, and more dreamotion fiddling to do; a crystal network doesn't build itself!]

Hah, thanks I will.

[WELP.

This is definitely not something he expected. But hey free pie, so he can't complain too badly. So he'll just chuckle to himself before turning to head out on his own way. Maybe Eizen would want some? ...Nah, this is all for him.]
