been scouting. found some things. need help with one of them

swamp full of stuff. can feel magic in it, but the ruins are ( a couple of seconds' pause - the slightest dots of ink appear, an indecisive tap-tap-tap of his pen. then: ) guarded, i think.

want to go in and find whatever's magic. not taking much of it. need someone to distract them while i do ( someone who isn't emil in case they get violent. they don't seem violent, but they also don't seem not violent, so he's wary. )

( this is the first of various opportunities to get dragged into lalli's scouting adventures - and since the lovely modsquad are giving me things for him to discover, i want to try to get other folks in on the action. the date of the actual excursion is currently undecided, but icly lalli wants to do it asap.
