[The dream begins with a wide view of the silver-haired Yuki standing in what looks like a TV studio kitchen set, with lights and cameras facing the main counter he's poised behind. He seems distracted at first, but he soon tenses to attentiveness and smiles toward the strangely empty studio.]
Good afternoon, and welcome to NEXT Re:vale! As you can see, Momo left me all alone this time, so I'm going to do a special corner. It's time for "Yuki's Challenge Kitchen!" The point of this corner is that I'll be given three mystery ingredients, and I'll be making whatever I can that includes those ingredients...
[He carries on like this for a moment until the ingredients are revealed: beets, ginger, and white wine. With plenty of flavor text, Yuki sets to work, though he doesn't reveal what he's making right away. Eventually, it's a warm, meatless, artfully plated grain bowl that he ends up with.
Only, while he's making it, strange things happen. First, he cuts himself with the knife. It seems to shock him, and the filming cuts to patch him up, but he goes back to it. Then a glass bowl shatters while he's mixing in it. More cleanup. The wine boils over, the beets fall on the floor, the quinoa he's trying to make scalds. Try as he might, it's mishap after mishap, and Yuki seems surprised every time something goes awry.
In the end, a cue card announces "special judges" to taste the dish, and Yuki is visibly faintly frazzled, but carries on with a ghost of a smile. The bowl is divided into two portions, and a side curtain is pulled back to reveal a young man with short, messy black hair and another young man with blue-black hair. Their faces are in shadow despite the glaringly bright studio lights.
Yuki seems fond of the judges, that much is evident. He's visibly nervous, too. And suddenly, somehow Yuki's hair looks a lot shorter. But he's focusing all intent on the judges, the palms of his hands pressed together subtly like he's praying for victory.
The set seems to grow dimmer as the judges give their verdicts, but strangely enough the only sound to be heard is Yuki's heartbeat in his ears, and a sound like distant feedback from a speaker.
Yuki's face falls at the result, and he ends up standing alone in a spotlight in the center of the now empty set, a lighting rig swinging back and forth like a slow pendulum above his head while the upbeat chorus of a song echoes.]

[Moments after the first appearance of that odd dream:]
Anyone who didn't watch that gets free food from me tonight.
I can cook for at least 20.
