Hello, everyone!

Since there are so many new dreamwalkers who've just arrived, I thought it might be nice to encourage everyone to get together and meet! There is a communal firepit in a clearing just outside of the residential area where I've got a fire going, and I have plenty of supplies to make "s'mores," which I only just learned about recently. (Thank you, Miss Tifa!) If you haven't had this before, please come and try it, it's delicious!

Additionally, I have a request for everyone to please keep an eye out for a few individuals... I realize that this may be in vain since their names did not appear in the directory, but just in case...

Colin
He is a tall, half-elven man with long, dark hair. He is very charismatic and funny and likely to be found busking with his lute somewhere or telling stories!

Aerie
Also tall, but fully an elf, very pretty and intelligent, also with dark hair (but not related to Colin!). She usually has three wolves with her. Extremely competent hunter!

Mellon
Also tall, also fully an elf, he usually does not wear a shirt. He loves to drink and might try to clear out any supply of alcohol... Please do not get into a tavern brawl with him.

Dae
Also tall, and also fully an elf, with white hair and red eyes. He is very good at magic and possibly would want to spar with you! Would likely have an owl familiar with him.

Cibark
Even taller and very very strong! He is a half-orc with green skin and usually wears armor and wields large weapons. He has a very dashing and heroic aura about him!

Sian
Not tall! They usually wear a cloak and a mask. Usually quiet but very sassy. They might be flying around, but they also don't usually remember that they can do that.

If at any point in the future you come across anybody who seems to fit these descriptions, please let me know!

Good evening, Oriphi! My name is General Gorou of Watatsumi Island, and I'm one of the recent arrivals. A gathering sounds like a great way to boost morale, [ gorou, please... ] so I'll stop by for a little while.

I haven't come across anyone with the descriptions you've listed just yet, but I'll keep an eye out for anyone who might fit any of them. I wish you luck in your search, nevertheless.

[ !! A general! Ori will have to remember to give him a salute whenever they meet in person! That's how it works, right? ]

Welcome to Reverein, General Gorou sir! That's the idea! I know that I felt pretty lost and down when I first arrived here, so... I hope this helps. You're most welcome to say hello whenever's best for you!

[ She's just... going to be out here all day to welcome everyone! ]

I'm sure it'll help significantly, though I'm quite fortunate that there are others from Teyvat who've been brought here as well. It's made the transition a lot more bearable.

And I can certainly give you a few descriptions. I'll send them your way after we meet up; I think I'll need to write them on a not-so-empty stomach.

Oh! I mean... I am not from Teyvat, myself, but there seem to be more and more of you now! It must be nice to have at least that little bit of familiarity...

Oh! You've met some people from Teyvat, then? I only know of a handful that are here with us right now, but maybe there are others I haven't met before...?

Actually, you know what? You can tell me about them when I get there. I'm walking there as we speak; I'll be there soon, Oriphi!

Please look out for someone with horns and a tail! That would be me!

[ And sure enough, whenever Gorou finds himself at the communal fire pit, there will be a small woman with horns and a tail sitting on one of the logs, fussing over her journal as she writes back to the other responses to her message. Around her are roasting sticks with marshmallows already pierced onto them as well as the other supplies required for the delicious treats. She is prepared! There are a few others gathered around various spots in the clearing, as well, but it's not crowded or too busy by any means. In fact, it's all rather cozy. ]

[ Horns and a tail? Well, that's a unique set of features. She shouldn't be hard to spot, and sure enough, he's quick to find her on one of the logs.

He approaches, eyes bright, tail wagging ever so slightly behind him. He can smell the chocolate, the marshmallows roasting -- he likes this little event she's got going on already. Gorou gives her a little wave as he walks up to her. He'll wait to sit; he has manners! ]

Good evening! Oriphi, right? It's nice to meet you. I'm Gorou, from the journals.

[ And for her part— Gorou isn't the first person she's met here who appears to be human with the exception of some canine features, though she does wonder for a moment if he's an Erune like Eustace until she remembers that he couldn't possibly be, since he's come from Teyvat.

In any case, she gives a courteous wave back. ]

Hello, General Gorou—

[ oh, wait! She clumsily tries for a proper salute. He is a general, after all! Wait, should she stand up? ]

I'm... I'm doing this wrong, aren't I? Um. It's nice to meet you!

[ Oh, the salute -- Gorou wasn't expecting that, but he's gotten that before from strangers, so he simply laughs and shakes his head. ]

Don't worry, you don't need to be so formal. I may have introduced myself as a General, but here, I'm just...Gorou, I suppose.

[ Which he's still needing to come to terms with, but he offers her a smile nevertheless. ]

Anyway...this is really generous of you to do. I've never had a s'more before, but I look forward to trying one -- they smell delicious!

[ While it's true that here, there's no army to be General of, per se, Ori would still call him General Gorou if he really wanted! If it's a part of him, then who is she to take that away from him?

For now, though, she simply smiles and nods her head. ]

Then, it's nice to meet you Gorou! You can call me Ori, by the way. And—

[ she gestures for him to sit with one hand, and with the other she holds out a stick with a marshmallow at the end of it! ]

I hope that you'll enjoy! Please take a seat, and then we can make s'mores together!

[ He feels like maybe he's a little too excited about this, but he'll gladly take a seat near her regardless. Gorou takes the stick and looks at it curiously. ]

You'll have to instruct me on how to do this, I'm afraid. I'm guessing these are going to be roasted?

[ Ori is someone who much prefers when someone is overexcited, than the alternative. So he's in good company! At his question, she smiles and waves a hand dismissively. ]

That's not a problem at all! I didn't know how to make these before, either, but another dreamwalker taught me how and now I'm happy to share that knowledge!

We're going to roast the marshmallows over the fire, then when they're nice and toasty-looking we're going to sandwich them between pieces of chocolate and sweet crackers. The marshmallows melt and so does the chocolate, and it can get a little messy— but so yummy!

[ She takes her her own marshmallow-on-a-stick and holds it out over the fire to demonstrate to him. ]

Alright! That sounds simple enough.

[ And truthfully, it is. He follows her lead and holds his marshmallow over the fire to let it roast for a little while. He keeps his eyes on it, and there's a quiet moment before he speaks again: ]

I promised that I would give you some descriptions of people I'm looking for from Teyvat. Since we have a moment, I can give those to you now, if you'd like. I truly don't believe they're here at this very moment, but if they do end up showing up, knowing of their arrival would be pertinent.

[ She seems surprised when he finally speaks up, having spaced out a little as she's watching their marshmallows roast, but she eases back into the conversation easily enough. ]

I understand. Please, go ahead! I'll do my best to take note so I can keep an eye out for them, too.

[ She gets a nod before he begins: ]

The two most important people I'm on the lookout for are named Kujou Sara and Sangonomiya Kokomi, for two very different reasons. The latter is Her Excellency -- the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island. She has long, blonde hair and primarily wears shades of blue and purple. I'm not sure what the best way to describe her attire is other than...aquatic. Very much so.

[ He sounds fond when he speaks of Kokomi; he's got nothing but utmost respect for his leader, which he'll...prattle on about a little, if Ori asks.

On the other hand... ]

The other one, Kujou Sara... Calling her my enemy isn't exactly wrong, but she's the most honorable opponent I've ever fought against. Often times, I wonder what it would be like if we weren't on opposing sides, but -- [ He shakes his head, cuts himself off before he can go on a tangent. ] A-anyway, she's got short, indigo hair, and has a red tengu mask on the side of her head. Her eyes are gold, and her gaze is piercing.

[ ... ]

That...all made sense, right?

[ Ori sits at attention as she listens to Gorou's descriptions, and she may as well have opened her journal to take notes. Hopefully, her memory will serve her well to recognize Kujou Sara and Sangonomiya Kokomi if they ever appear in this realm. Neither name sounds familiar, based on what she's heard from Thoma and Diluc - but Teyvat must be just as big of a place as any other world would be, so it's not unexpected. ]

It all made sense, not to worry! Both of them sound like very important people...

[ Which, maybe is to be expected given that Gorou himself is a general. It would make sense for him to be looking out for equally important people. What she hasn't considered, though, is to look out for enemies, and she can't mask the surprise on her face when he describes the tengu. ]

Your, um, opponent... is there anything I need to keep in mind if I ever encounter her? Say, if you wanted me to try to distract or restrain her if she arrived and then call for you?

[ Which is about the same she would want others to do if any of her enemies ever showed up here. That, or just turn around and walk away. ]

Oh -- no! No, that won't be necessary.

[ He'll admit that he wasn't expecting Ori to suggest restraint, of all things, but that's probably something he'd present as an option right off the bat himself. He shakes his head and gives her a small, slightly sheepish grin. ]

I appreciate it, Ori, but you don't have to worry about dealing with her. If you see her around, tell her that General Gorou would like to begin negotiations. That's all.

[ His smile fades as he turns to look back at his marshmallow. ]

The war in Inazuma runs deep...but I'd rather not disturb the peace we have here as much as possible.

[ It's not a suggestion she makes lightly, to be fair, but it speaks to her own experiences that that's where her mind goes. Warm and welcoming as she's been here, thus far, and perhaps contrary to her demeanor, she's had her own share of misadventures. ]

Okay... negotiations.

[ That's so... cool, honestly? Imagine resolving things with negotiations... ]

I'll keep that in mind. I don't know too much about the war going on in your home, other than the fact that it's happening, but maintaining peace here is probably the right call...

It certainly is. I don't think she'd would be interested in continuing it here, either, so I anticipate that talks will go...as well as they can.

[ They may argue, disagree, but as far as violence goes? He can't see that being much of an issue here. There's no reason to involve people here in any of that.

After a moment, he turns his head to look at her with a little smile on his face. ]

What about people from your world, Ori? Is there anyone I should approach with caution myself?

That would be nice! If it ended up being more difficult, well... Maybe Thoma could help? He's really good at negotiations.

[ Not Ori volunteering one of her partners for hypothetical peace talks in a dream realm separated from their realities?? ]

Anyhow, um... Well, no one from the list that I wrote about, certainly. But... I'll have to think about it, actually.

[ Despite her demeanor... she and her friends have sure made some enemies. It's just a matter of... prioritization. ]

But, oh! Let's not forget about our s'mores, Gorou!

[ Can't have the marshmallows burn on the sticks, after all! Ori will make sure to properly show him how to assemble the rest of the s'more, and hope that he enjoys the sweets as they continue to chat and get to know each other by the bonfire. ]
