Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! Thank you for tuning in once again to 66.6 AM! This is Alastor, your resident Radio Demon!

Awfully quiet week this week as we all wind down from the Flower Festival! Though honestly who could've foreseen that not only did we end up having a whole Flower Court, but both the Flower King and Queen would be ladies? My, things have changed over the decades since I was alive! Ha!

Speaking of flowers, at the rate we're going, we'll be overrun by them in no time! I've been hanging up quite a few to dry for some of my own rootwork, and I'm fairly certain I won't have to look to replenish my own stock for quite some time!

Still, that just means we need to get a bit more creative when thinning them out, I suppose! For example, most people don't realize just how many flowers are actually edible! I'm not one for tea myself, but I imagine Dreambucks will be having rose petal tea on the menu for quite some time!

And seeing as we've all got flowers on our minds, here's Louis Armstrong with "La Vie en Rose"!

How many recipes do you know that have flowers as a major ingredient? [Because color him intrigued.]

Quite a few actually! Quite a lot of them are sweets of some type or another even though I'm no fan of sweet things. Mother, however, was quite fond of them.

Are you asking for recipes or are you more interested in which types of flowers are edible to experiment with?

More like wondering which flowers around here are edible, actually. I know a few from home but makes more sense to know what I have to work with here, yeah?

Most of the ones I know are from Earth originally: dandelions, roses, violets, and so on. Not sure about the plants unique to here.

Oh, so basically a lot of what's on Earth is also here? Good to know.

But as long as we're chatting, what is your favorite recipe using flowers?

Given so many of us have some connection to Earth, it's not too surprising that so much of Earth is here...if a bit on the fantastical side.

Favorite recipe with flowers? Possibly dandelion wine. Despite all the sugar the recipe calls for, it's quite dry and not too sweet. Of course, it'd take a year or two before any I brewed here was drinkable!

I didn't even know you could make wine out of that shit. Guess I learned something new today.

But damn, kinda want to try to make something with flowers now just to see~

You can make alcohol out of just about any edible plant if you put your mind to it. How else would we get vodka from potatoes?
