[There was no special pov this time around. Just some kid lost in a spooky forest and well, perhaps spookier than usual with the swirling dark purple clouds overhead and thunder. ...Maybe this was a different dimension all together. But it was there that she had been confronted by a ghost. A very large ghost with a long black body and jack o' lantern-like face. Quite proud of himself and definitely scheming something.]
"Tell you what though! Hang on a minute! You get to live! That's right! Aren't you lucky?!
Normally I'd eat your soul and toss your body, but you're a lucky one! You won the lottery, because I just happen to be missing a braindead servant!
So tell you what, I've got a piece of paper right here! Don't worry about the details! I just need you to sign right here at the bottom!"
[The girl takes a brief look at the sudden floating parchment in her face, but evidently gives the ghost a look of disapproval.]
"C'mon now, don't make this difficult! You don't really have a say in this! Sign the paper!"
[A black quill now poofs into a existence right next to her. Maybe there was nothing in particular she could do. Kind of had a bad feeling though. But sooner or later, she gave out a sigh, and began writing.]
[Just as the signature finished, the paper rolled back up and disappeared into smoke. The ghost began cackling again.]
"That seals the deal! We're in business! Let me just grab this real quick..."
[Lightning came down and kept shocking the kid till eventually a horrified apparition ascended from her body. Leaving her to suddenly feel suddenly a bit colder, and much emptier. And well... kind of singed and woozy from the onslaught too.]
[Before long the circling clouds were fading back to an eerie night sky, and the endless silhouettes of gnarled trees were coming back to focus. It would be as though nothing had happeneda dream within a dream except for that numbing hollowed feeling inside. Once she got back on her feet she just kept going on the worn down cobbled path. It looked as there might've been a village up ahead, or something that was left of it.]
