First Bloom (Open Journal)

Sender: Isabela
To: Everyone
Subject: Flower Shop Plans Announcement

Hola everyone! I was told that I could announce something in these journals, so I might as well do it in here to gauge everyone’s interest. Oh, I shouldn’t forget to introduce myself. For anyone I haven’t met before, my name is Isabela Madrigal and I’m still new to this world at the moment.

As for the project I’m planning to work on, it is from a suggestion that a kind lady named Susato had told me a while ago during the Flower Festival: I’m hoping to get a flower shop running within the near future since back in my world, I have the ability to grow a variety of plants to spruce up the town I live in and I would love to showcase my ever expanding knowledge on botany and horticulture as well as what I can do with my gift. If anyone is interested in either helping out or wanting to check it out, feel free to write down your thoughts below. I would appreciate the feedback in return.

(OOC: You can all thank Susato for suggesting Isabela the idea of running her own flower shop during the Flower Festival Event/the recent TDM, but she is fully aware that it won’t be easy building one from scratch. If you want to help her or give her your support, feel free to comment down below.)

[ It's been a few weeks since the festival, which she wound up adoring for multiple reasons. Susato's mild embarrassment at being mentioned by name is luckily overshadowed by the fact that Isabela remembered--though anyone would find it difficult to forget, with a power like that.

It's like Isabela lived in her own flower festival, only it lasted her entire life. ]

Oh, I wish I could be of more help, but I am so excited for you. [ Maybe that excitement seems a little more reserved over text. But she writes no less enthusiastically. ] I still insist on being your first customer. Do you have any idea what you'd like it to be called?

If it helps, Kazuma-sama has actually set up the Wild Harvest in his own home, on the ground floor. I'm certain you could do the same, depending on what kind of treehouse you've chosen.

I'm afraid I don't have any name suggestions just yet, but you said you were experimenting with plants that aren't conventionally pretty. Which ones are your favorites?

Perhaps you could choose a name with one of them as inspiration. "Sundew Valley," for instance... [ Although, uh, that might be a turn-off for those who actually know what a sundew is. ]

...Or maybe you would prefer to include your name? "Isabela's Floral Express," or "Madrigal Blooms."

[ Towards the end, that's the name Susato decides she prefers too, though it really isn't up to her. ]

I agree! Though you don't have to decide right now. [ Content is more important, though obviously the selection is quite limitless. ] You could advertise bouquets and arrangements for all sorts of occasions. Birthdays, holidays... or even something more personal, like apology flowers.

Did people rely on you for such things back in Columbia?

Well, presentation is certainly important. I'm certain you'll do well, Ms Madrigal. Just give it time.

And if you need inspiration, we have a library now that you can consult.

I understand. I've been spending a lot of time there myself this week... I think some of the security owls have started to notice me.

[ At least, it feels like it. Maybe they just don't like that she acts like she works there. ]

Their presence can be a little oppressive. I get the feeling they are not to be messed with. Perhaps the books are like their children.

Either that, or they are concerned about the eggs on the top floor.

...There are two, and they're very large. I've seen them move as well, but no one seems to know where they came from or what they are.

I haven't gotten close just yet, but I have a feeling it is only a matter of time.

They seem to have appeared with the library, yes. It is difficult to know how to care for them when we don't know what they will become, but at the very least... we should try? [ General "we." ...Shouldn't they? ]
