[ Everything was bright and colorful. Wings, feathers, all fluttering around in the bright colors. A bright light, almost heavenly showing all around. It was like the sun was constantly shining, rainbows and warmth all around without a cloud in the sky, but...
It's not peace that's being felt. Such a heavenly appearance, but the only thing that could be felt was suffocation. And thousands of eyes peering all around. It felt like every step forward just got more stares and more disappointment. It felt so crushing, and the world around you shifts, making you feel so so small.
Then you hear the faint voices of anger, of annoyance, "If you don't shape up you'll be exiled! You never do anything but mess up! You're nothing but a nuisance! I can't believe he ever wasted his time creating you."
It's crushing, it's painful. For a place so beautiful, it felt like there was nothing but disappear, but another faint voice could be heard. This voice, while sounding deep and stern, the first spark of hope is born.
"Good job." "I know I can trust you"
And just like that, the world started feeling less suffocating. The world was filled with hope once more, as colorful wings start swarming around. They all seem happy. They all spark a warmth that just couldn't be described. Like a part of you that had been missing for so long started piecing itself together once more.
You reach out for the colors as a rainbow of feathers dance around you. You reach out for for the purest color to hold onto, but in an instant, that feeling is gone.
A loud scream.
Piercing sounds all around you. Almost like arrows were raining down upon you.
The pure light you were reaching for isn't pure anymore. It's stained with red. And the world around you turns black. There's screaming and pain and all of those eyes are on you once more. The pure light fades away and you fall. Along with the other feathery colors, you fall from the bright colors and you fall and you fall, until you and the rest of the lights hit the bottom. Darkness everywhere. Pain everywhere. All the colors in pieces. Your happiness is gone. B-But what if you could put it back together??
You could put it back together and all would be well right? Though the colors with you may not be feathery anymore. Even if they've changed, they could still be put together, right?? If you can just hold it all together, then you could reclaim that feeling again. You could—
only fool yourself.
That bright pure light you reached out for was gone. And instead of the warm words you once heard, the only thing that you hear now is anger, fear, prideful comments that just leave you feeling empty again. But these lights. They were all you had left.
"Scum bag" they were all you had left "Wish you hadn't fell with us!" they were all you had left "You're the lowest of the low!" they were all you had left
And still you reach out. Still trying to piece everything back together with this weight of the world on your shoulders, you keep trying, but then one by one, the colors fade away. But not without a biting word before they fade. Scumbag, Nuisance, Stupid, Moron, these words dance around you, like they were taunting you. And just like that you're alone again. You're alone in this black abyss, feeling nothing but pain in your heart, as tears stream down your face. You're alone now. You're all alone. ]

😿Action😿 Because they are less than 20 feet apart or something
For his part, he does watch the dream in full. He was still a part of Lucifer when Lucifer and his brothers lived in the Celestial Realm. While he has some of Lucifer's memories of his time there, Satan knows that he doesn't have the same level of understanding of the absolute suffocation the Celestial Realm had on his brothers as they do.
Satan doesn't like to think about the Celestial Realm most days because it didn't involve him. The thought alone fills him with a bitterness that he doesn't even understand. What he does know is that his brothers are either neutral toward or genuinely dislike their time in the Celestial Realm and Satan -- Satan knows he doesn't really get to have an opinion.
It's late, but Satan drags himself out of bed anyway. He figures Mammon will try to play it cool, but he should go see him anyway. He's tired, though, and he's forgotten he's rearranged some furniture in his room and so of course he trips over something and stumbles right into the wall.
He is sorely tempted to just go back to bed, but he sucks it up and goes to look for Mammon, wishing he were more of a night owl than an early bird. ]

He wanted to wake up. He wanted to get out of this painful feeling, but it felt like the harder he tried to wake up, the more the abyss dragged him into his own thoughts. He couldn't see Mammon's tears in this dark, but he could probably hear the pathetic whimpering.]

In his experience, Mammon is usually a pretty heavy sleeper, but as he approaches the bed he figures he should try calling out to him anyway. ]
Hey. Mammon?
no subject
Stop, don't go!
[ He grabs for the air in front of him, blinking a few times in his panic. ]
no subject
Oh, good.
[ Satan invites himself over to the bed and takes a seat on the edge of it. He figures Mammon is upset -- completely fair -- but Satan has no idea how to approach a situation like this with Mammon. Mammon is always so good at... being fine? Pretending to be fine? ]
I thought I was going to have to coax you awake by calling you The Great Mammon or something.
[ So he tries some humor. ]
no subject
He clears his throat. He's okay. He's fine. Everything is okay! ]
T-Tch... you should call me that anyway, ya know?
no subject
[ It's too dark in here, so Satan takes a few moments to light some candles so he can see a little. ]
I think I can stomach "big bro," though.
[ Ah. It occurs to him that Mammon probably doesn't know that his privacy has been invaded and that his dream was broadcast for everyone to see. ]
