Hi everyone! :3 My name is Meilin Lee, but you can call me Mei! \o/ Nice to meet you!

So I've been here for like a month (wow!) and I've noticed one super huge important thing this place is missing.

SCHOOL.

Okay so hear me out : I know school isn't like FUN fun for everyone, but! Look at how many posts with people asking to be taught things or offering to teach people things? Plus, us newbies still need to know how to work all this dream energy emotion stuff, and it'd kinda be nicer to do it in a classroom setting instead of when I'm running for my life from a noctare.

Plus, what if when we wake up our minds are all tired and goopy from lack of knowledge? We gotta keep our brains energized!

Here's what we need for a good school -
A building with lots of room
Desks
Lockers
Chalkboards + chalk
Bookshelves
Teachers

There's probably a bunch of other stuff too but this is a work in progress! We should all work together on ideas to make this happen! I know we like a lot of money for it (and I still think it is SUPER WEIRD that dreams need money???) but maybe if we all pitch in a little at a time it'll all come together!

I'm open to any and all ideas!!!! I hope you all have a great day!!!! :DDD

I'd be happy to teach you anything I know. If you had to narrow down "everything," where do you think you'd like to start?

That's so hard to choose. So how about we flip it - what would you LOVE LOVE LOVE to teach?

That's not fair. It isn't any easier for me.

[ There are a lot of things he would enjoy teaching, but not all of it would be useful. What good would learning the history of the Devildom do for anyone other than his brother? Actually, maybe he should teach it anyway and force Mammon to attend. ]

There are several courses I could teach that are rarer in the human world than in the Devildom. Ones like magical potions or curses and hexes. I could also teach more practical classes like home economics and mathematics.

Thinking about it, though, I am best with potions and magic in general, so perhaps I could put together some type of lessons for learning and mastering dreamotion energy. What do you think?

Does the AP stand for Advanced Placement? Either way, I'm sure I can manage to challenge you.

Not just in math, either. Learning isn't exciting when it's not challenging, after all. So don't worry, you'll have a challenge, even if it means I have to think up an individualized plan for you.

Out of curiosity, if I may ask, why the love of learning?

Why not? To me, I don't get how people DON'T love learning! This is the basis of our future.

Trust me, I agree with you. Where would we be if people weren't curious and didn't bother learning about the world around them? We'd be living in a society that couldn't advance, that's where.

On top of that, if someone isn't well-educated, it's more difficult for them to earn respect. If they aren't respected by those around them, it's almost impossible for them to find the strength to respect themselves.

Everyone should strive to learn as much as they can.

But, sadly, every world has its share of people who just don't see the benefit of a good education. We should find a way to motivate them so they don't drag the rest of us down with them.

I've run into a few negative nancys so far, but I've been able to turn them over - as it turns out, flattery DOES get you everywhere.

It'll get you pretty far, I admit.

[ But he can think of a few people who wouldn't be moved by flattery, not even in the slightest. ]

Now now, I'm no snitch! The important thing is that we're reeled them in!

If you're sure. I just worry that if they're lacking a real, genuine motivation to learn that they're just going to give up a week into this. So, it would probably be a good idea to monitor anyone who shows up to your school but initially said they weren't interested so we can help maintain their interest in furthering their education.

[ well, one of the people who complained was Satan's brother, and Mei doesn't wanna get Mammon in trouble... ]

I'll keep an eye on them, I promise! You can count on me!

[ It's okay. Mammon is literally in trouble with Satan every day of the week for one thing or another. In all honesty, that was part of the reason why he even asked -- but he was also interested in gauging people's willingness to learn. ]
