Subject: Housekeeping Classes!
Hello everyone! My name is Thoma! Nice to meet you! ▽・ェ・▽ノ” (That’s a dog.)
I was just thinking that there are a lot of us here who might be new to living alone or managing things around the house and I wanted to help out. I’m a housekeeper back home, and my duties include cooking, cleaning, mending, laundry, and a few things in-between. These are all valuable skills to have in everyday life!
Usually, I am happy to help where I can, but realistically I can’t clean every house in all of Reverein, so I would like to teach the basics of housekeeping instead. Please let me know if you’re interested and I will schedule some classes! ♡(ᐢ ᴥ ᐢし) (That’s another dog.)
Oh, I also knit so if you want to learn how to do that, I can help there too!
Thanks for reading. Take care everyone!

I actually know how to do some of those things, Thoma! I have to help take care of my dads back home whenever they aren't feeling well, so I've ended up picking up a few things here and there. Mmm... But I guess I could always stand to get better...

How exactly are those glyphs meant to resemble canines of any sort?

So the little triangles are ears, see? and then it's got two eyes, and a nose and mouth in the middle. Then I gave it a little wagging tail! See!

I have a friend that could use all the help she can get with keeping the house cleaning. I know the basics, but the more I can do to help the less she has to tend to.

It is quite generous of you to offer such lessons. I confess, I am among those who have found themselves lacking in this particular area. Learning was simply never something that occurred to me, given my circumstances of living, but even before coming here, said circumstances changed and I found myself at a loss regarding many important life skills, to my embarrassment.
I have made some progress since then through concentrated effort, but I should like to do more. I think I have become fairly competent when it comes to cooking, so long as there is a recipe to follow, but I admit that laundry and mending still elude me... for the latter, there was always the option to have something tailored or simply buy something new. Still, a close friend of mine often feels it is her responsibility to look after the rest of us. I would very much like to take advantage of your offer, if I may, so that I might continue to assist in lightening her burden without being one in my own right.
[Thoma did not ask for Motivation and Backstory, but he sure got it.]
no subject
That’s all very understandable. The situation here is quite different than what a lot of us are used to, and there’s nothing wrong with wanting to help out a friend.
If you can follow a recipe, why don’t we start with laundry? Typically, you can be given written instructions to follow.

What would you desire in exchange?

There are so many people from different walks of life here. It's really amazing! It's nice to meet you, Thoma. I appreciate your emojis and I know how to clean but I've never tried knitting before.
I've heard that it's very relaxing and I could always use more of that. Usually, I clean, cook, or draw to calm my nerves so finding something else might not be such a bad idea.
no subject
Anyway, thank you! It’s nice to meet you too, and it’s nice learning I’m not the only one who cleans to unwind! Knitting is a great way to relax, too, so I’d be happy to teach you if you want!

How busy do you find yourself currently, Mr. Thoma?
[You people with your lack of second names making it weird for stuffy Victorians to address you...]

And I suppose I’m not as busy as I’m used to being. Why do you ask?
