okay so i've been here a while now and i've noticed something

i don't know the exact process of how the gods or people or whatever here pick people to help out

i don't know if it's completely random or an intricate process to determine who helps out but lately i've been leaning towards the latter for two reasons

one, i haven't met a single jerk or bully or even rude person here which is legit amazing and awesome BUT

SECOND

IS IT JUST MY IMAGINATION OR IS EVERYONE HERE LIKE INSANELY RIDICIOUSLY GOOD LOOKING

REALLY THO

ALL THE ADULTS COULD BE SUPER-MODELS AND ALL THE KIDS COULD BE LIKE THOSE ON HIGH SCHOOL DRAMAS ON TV

i mean this is doing wonders for my own self-confidence regarding my looks but FOR REAL I CANNOT BE THE ONLY ONE TO NOTICE THIS

PLEASE TELL ME SOMEONE ELSE HAS NOTICED THIS

[She's been keeping track of the arrivals or at least trying to sporadically document them and they don't make much sense. But then again, she doesn't exactly know everyone in this world and who knows who. At the very least, most of the Wild Harvest staff seem to be connected somehow.]

As much as it annoys me to admit it, how people get here is probably random. Which means the hot thing is probably...also random. But also wouldn't we just consider attractiveness objective?

i know "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" but i've been doing so much beholding and that is a lot of beauty

but since i only had one person sort of agree, this beholder is feeling pretty silly

What if you just looked at it differently? It just means that you two see more beauty than everyone else.

that is a pretty positive way to put it

now the problem is my brain kind of explodes when exposed to "too much beauty". especially dudes.

Not sure I can help you there with that one. Have you considered putting it into something...productive? Like art or something? Or writing?

the last time i did that, things did not end well

[ insert traumatic flashback of her mom discovering said art and the... chaos... that ensued. shudder shudder. ]

[ oof. hm. hoo boy. she doesn't WANT to talk about it, but... at the same time, it's hard to explain without, well, explaining it! ]

got mad
blamed the dude i was drawing

Oof. Yeeeeeah that's pretty bad. But the good news is if your mom isn't here then she can't find out, right?

[ good, ema was "satisfied". she doesn't have to share the rest of those details... ]

but there's nothing preventing her from showing up in the future! we get new people like every other month or something right???

But really that sounds like a future you problem. Nothing like stretching your wings a little and enjoying your hobbies especially if they aren't harmful to anyone.

i've already done some stuff she majorly wouldn't approve of

Ah well some of those don't sound so bad - wait what you fought noctares? How?

well not yet

so far i've only really only ran away from them

but i don't want to always do that! i want to help people! and sometimes helping = fighting

[Age isn't an indication of how well someone can fight but still. Ema's getting a bit of a vibe here.]

Normally I would agree but I feel like a 13 year old probably can't use that justification here.

i'm very mature for my age! i get a+ in all my classes! and i have a job at home - i help clean up the temple and i work the register for the temple gift shop!
