I am the creator of the archives, so I suppose I am its curator, in a sense.

The building is always open and everyone is welcome to browse entries, add to them, or simply use it as a place of respite. You can find it here:

[ There's a little sketch of a map, showing where the archives are in relation to the river and the Tree of Stories. ]

If you have any questions, or if there's anything else you'd like to know, I'm more than happy to be of assistance.

You are most welcome.

Not very far, unfortunately. From what I gather, the first dreamwalkers appeared last autumn, which means our records only span the same time period. However, several dreamshifts that have happened in the meanwhile have been given appropriate description, so I believe you should still find what we do have available enlightening.

Word from among those first to awaken here states that there were native (or even perhaps dreamwalker-like) fae already here, but attempts to communicate and establish solid relationships with these peoples have been middling. As much as I would like to have their input, especially with regards to what Songerein was like before we arrived, we do not. That will likely be a long-term endeavor.

From what I understand, the reasons are varied. Some are elusive, like the tapirs that greet all of us when we first arrive, and some are beyond communication due to language barriers. Some don't find us dreamwalkers trustworthy and avoid contact with us entirely. I hope to make concerted efforts to reach out to these fae as a gesture of goodwill and to exchange information sometime in the future, but it will not be an easy task, considering how little we know.

And never feel as though you're imposing - I am more than happy to share what I know. It benefits all of us.

[ What kind of scholar would he be if he were stingy about these things? ]

I am inclined to agree on that count. Surely some of those among us would recognize at least some species if they were of those worlds.

[ Then their categories would change. Would they be fae? The choya, for example, clearly belonged in the category of "monster," but without him here, would they still be considered as such? ]

You're an ambassador of sorts? That's fantastic! Any effort to make contact with them would be hugely appreciated, as would anything you contribute as a result of said meeting. The fae are unpredictable, though, so I would advise you bring someone along just in case.

Never apologize. Speculation is valuable when we know so little - an idea followed might lead to truths we may have not ever considered before. And that excitement is precisely what drives us. Hold on to those sentiments and let them guide you.

[ Trahearne is absolutely buzzing with excitement right now, but rarely does that ever come across, either in writing or in person. ]

Whatever comes of your efforts, be it good, bad, or a failed attempt altogether, it will be a key contribution to our bank of knowledge. You have my best wishes, Themis.

Out of pure curiosity, I would love to be present at a meeting if you manage to make it happen. Only with your permission, of course - I would not want to get in the way of your work.

I'm glad to hear it. If you manage to arrange a meeting, let me know. I'll be there.

And if there's anything else I can help you with, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always happy to be of assistance.
