It would appear that my stay here is a bit more... 'long term' than what I previously had thought. Not that I don't mind a little vacation from my usual day-to-day. However, there has been some recent developments back home that need my attention. Unfortunately for me, I don't think I'll be returning back anytime soon. Seems like introductions are in order. Usually it is frown upon to reveal myself to those of the mortal world but I don't see the harm since if I am to be stranded here. My name is Stolas of Ars Goetia. Pleasure to meet you all.

As the case may be, I would like to get to know about this quaint little town. Primarily my interest lies in how the magic of this place is conducted. I don't mean this... 'dreamotion' the adorable little tapirs explained upon my arrival. I have experimented with it a little already. Seems fairly straight forward. They are reminiscent of how my own abilities work, just with a little... emotional flare? Hmm, its hard to explain... What was my question? Oh yes! I want to know if anyone has looked into the root of the source. The how and why people are brought here. I know a thing or two about portaling spells that links realms but whatever brought me here seems more potent. More powerful. It has turned my grimoire into a decorative paperweight. It would be fascinating if the implications weren't so GRIM. Ha! Sorry, bit of book humor.

Speaking of books... Is there a library I could visit to read up on any local lore? As I stated earlier, I have only just arrived and still finding my way around.

I'm from Asgard, actually. Helheim is a place in Niflheim, one of the Nine Realms that comprise Yggdrasill, the world tree.

At least those of us who have just arrived. I would be wary still, for reasons you mentioned. But think of this also as you've gained information, and potential allies. Sometimes divulging a weakness purposefully can be used to greater strength overall for one's goals.

You home is reminiscent of the Seven Rings of Hell of where I'm from. Wait... I have heard something similar. Humans are rather foolish superstitious creatures, but I remember reading one of their earlier works. I believed they called themselves the Norse? So their tales were true? Well... I guess I shouldn't be surprised. They write works of fiction about my home as well.

I will keep that in mind. Whose to say that's not what you're trying to do with me right now? Are you a friend or foe trying to gain my trust?

The tales are true, with some embellishments and some misunderstandings, and a dash of 'make things up out of whole cloth'. And you're wise to question. I would prefer 'friend' over 'foe' when there is no reason for the latter.

Of course, humans have such the imagination, don't they? You should read some of the stories they about my Hell. Never fails to get a chuckle out of me.

I see no reason for us to be enemies. From what I can tell you have been straight forward and honest with me. I don't have many friends back home...

Oh I've heard a story or two, but I'd be delighted to read some more. Stories are fun. I also did not have many genuine friends back where I'm from. Always languishing in my elder brother's shadow.

Been there, have the tee-shirt, as the Midgardians say. Although it quickly became clear that Thor was always the favored one... I am the younger Prince, but we were both raised as if either of us could take the throne.

Ah~ A fellow royal. I have many siblings in my family. However, we all are given our roles on how to best serve the Goetia from a young age. We cannot choose our own path. If your father had already decided on an heir, it just seems like needless grooming. How cruel... Sorry to say but your father is an ass.

Oh! I think I get the joke. It's like going to a cleverly themed park and bringing back one over priced souvenir t-shirt. I have in fact, been there, got the t-shirt.

One good thing about being kidnapped to a dreamland is not having to deal with familial drama. You should enjoy this little mini vacation while it lasts.

You do in fact, understand the expression as a joke correctly. You did use it right. It's not the first time I've been flung to a new place alone, and had to make due. I wouldn't necessarily call those experiences a vacation from familial drama even with a lack of the familial presence. But this place does seem more interesting than most.
