Hate to bring you all down from the festivities, but some of us aren't exactly around any more.

I suppose the dark icky dream monsters that have got everyone so flustered could have got them. Imagine! Going out alone in the night like that. Brrr!

...Or maybe they got out and left us behind to fend for ourselves. Either way, it's pretty useless to speculate.

So! I suppose a roll call's in order. Name and origin world seems the most helpful. Lots of you came in groups, right? Or you made friends quickly. So spill.

I'll go first. Shoka Sakurane, from earth. Her place is abandoned, and she hasn't been seen for 2 weeks now.

what, like an oddball zoo? I dunno about that. I've been seein' a lot of kids and they aren't that fun to watch, especially when they get all emotional and junk. Besides when we ain't gotta pay for anything what's the point in making any kinda collection like that?

You're not wrong about that. Humans can be the most unpredictable bunch of people. And I guess if other people are vanishing that ain't me... my original thought must not be true.

Crazy things like this happen a lot to me an' my brothers back home. Sometimes it's the higher up with lots of magic and time on his hands, sometimes my younger brother and his stupid magical video games. Hell, even cursed items have been known to pull us into magical worlds.

I just assumed somethin' like that happened again, but we would have been sent home by now and strangers aren't normally pulled into the crossfire.

Between us? I'm not exactly a stranger to the whole plane skipping Thing either. Except usually, it's not dream-related. I don't have the first idea why I'm included in whatever this is. It's not like I have to sleep... and when I do, I don't dream either.

Say, you must have noticed. When we step into other peoples' nightmares, we get to let loose a little- which means that that area's bound by different Rules than this place. So something's making us this way. I'm wondering if it can be overwritten.

I mean with magic, it's all about figurin' how it works right? So there's probably a way to change how it effects things if you can figure out the formula or somethin.

[It's close, for sure! And honestly, in his mind, they're two sides of the same coin. Each do their tasks, and the twain never meets. There's hardly any reason for animosity. If anything, that's a human construction.
