I am pleased to announce that a method of utilizing dreamotion to cast healing magic has been devised, and that it can be learned by anyone regardless of origin or prior knowledge. The ability to mend wounds and cleanse poisons is a valuable skill that can help us prepare for unexpected events. Dreamotion is an ubiquitous source of energy that can be tapped by any dreamwalker in this world. Everyone has the potential to cast healing magic using their own dreamotion as a magical source. However, not all of us are familiar with the nature of magic, or do not know how to channel it without prior experience. I have collated a variety of casting implements, processes, and advice from many magic users in our community. Practicing these techniques or using these items will aid in directing the flow of one's dreamotion to manifest as a tangible healing effect. I will be hosting sessions every Saturday afternoon from 2pm to 6pm at the Music Studio for anyone keen on trying out these spellcasting aids. Any advice, constructive suggestions, and helping hands to host the lessons are also welcome. Please feel free to drop by. Refreshments will be provided. Thank you for your perusal, and I wish all a pleasant night. Phantom [ OOC: The lessons focus on helping people focus their dreamotion and feelings towards producing curative effects! This can be through items like wands or books, through reading spell incantations, or through mental exercises that help the person think about positive feelings or wishes. Examples of all three will be provided at the lessons! Characters can come by to try out the various methods, or just to hang out. The weekly lessons will be handwaved, so you can have your character pick up some basic wound healing or poison removing spells or skills through these classes. Characters who want to teach or contribute lesson materials are super welcome too! Feel free to contact me via PM or on plurk albumen for any clarification or plotting. ]

I have made some simulacrums which are designed to detect the effects of healing magic. While the benefit of practicing on the genuine article is undeniable, I do not feel it appropriate to request people to become injured on my behalf...

The intent is to practice on simulacrums; while I cannot deny the help that volunteers would provide, I would not impose to recommend volunteering over seeking experienced medical treatment.

No, I was going to volunteer myself for that purpose. This body feels less pain than a normal one would, so if there was a need for minor wounds to practice healing on, I would be a better choice for that than anyone else.

Still this is a pretty good thing you're doing. I know healing others can be pretty tough. Makes me wonder if any gels could be made here. Not that I liked them any, but they were easier for some folks to take, especially kids.

What are these gels you speak of? Are they a type of medicine?

Kind of. They have healing and restorative properties, and they're made of a gelatin like substance. It's kind of like eating gummy candy that can help heal minor wounds and restore your stamina. They come in a few flavors with apples being the smallest and weakest and grape and and melon being the strongest. The other one is peach.

I interviewed the healers amongst our number as well as other magicians that have arrived in this world. Different worlds operate under different rules of magic, yet they were all able to perform their magic regardless of system here. The root of it all lies in dreamotion, a resource which is available to all dreamwalkers regardless of origin. All I did was to collate and consolidate the easiest methods that could encourage the channeling of this resource.

Yes, I believe it is possible to use it as an additional power source for your own magic. Some magic users I have met have been utilising it this way.
