I thought I saw tracks a while ago and I was right! Guys, there are chocobos here!

Gysahl greens. It's kind of like a cabbage crossed with a radish or turnip. Big leaves, hard center, chocobos love munching on them.

I thought I knew all my produce, but I guess not. Must be a 'your world' thing. We don't have birds like chocobos back home.

I mean. There's ostriches, but they're wild assholes.

What's an ostrich? Can you try riding one anyway?

It's a big wild bird in Africa or something. Real mean, kicks the shit out of you. Tiny heads.

People have farms with them in it, but nobody rides them. I think I remember an article about how they can't hold people up for long.

That sucks. What's the point of a big bird if you can't potentially ride it? I mean, I guess if they taste good, but really? That's all?

We don't eat them either. I think people eat their giant eggs?

We've got horses for that. Some cultures at them, too. What, do chocobos taste like super chicken or something?

You don't? Just the eggs? I guess, but why not try eating them then?

Chocobos taste like chicken, but wild, and their meat cooks more like cows. Maybe a bit leaner, but still good.

Can't say I know much else about ostriches. I figure people do eat them like chickens when they get too old to lay eggs.

Huh. Bird steak. That's new. I think I'll stick with cows and chickens, though. But now I kinda really want fried chicken!

That's fair enough. Just be careful with the flavoring! Don't want a repeat of the chicken from the welcoming party.

Shit, don't remind me. I've been avoiding cheese since then unless I'm in a real good mood. And cheese is freaking amazing!

Yeah, but they call themselves a gourmand. Their whole tribe is basically like that.
