Subject: Regarding Christmas
I'll never understand what all the fascination is with one day that was arbitrarily chosen to be significant.
Don't hand me those lines about it being a time to show "good will" and "appreciation" for your fellow man. If people truly believed those ideals were important they wouldn't need to adhere to a schedule to be reminded to extend that gratitude, nor would it lead to the near-riots at limited time sales. Nothing says "Peace on Earth" quite like elbowing someone else out of the way so you can grab the last product off the shelf for yourself.
It's all a marketing ploy.
Believe me, I should know... I wonder what the sales figures look like this year.

Why at this time of the year? Or why do these particular traditions carry over? No matter how it started, why keep it going?
Personally, I find it all quite fun to watch.

I just find it irritating.
[Likely because he would usually be extremely busy with work were he not in dreamland. Currently, he just had time to think about everything he wasn't doing]

[A simple enough question. If he have to guess, this person might be either an overly serious person or busy. Or perhaps both.]

[Not entirely true but it's been a long time since he celebrated anything and it was usually at his younger brother's insistence]
As CEO of my company I have too many responsibilities to engage in frivolities.
no subject
[CEO... they usually have underlings handling most tasks, leaving them free to engage in talks. But that's just a generic assumption on his end.]
Once you get as old as I am, you'll find yourself wishing to enjoy yourself.

[You can take the workaholic out of the office... This CEO preferred a more hands on approach. He was not only financially invested in the company but it was his inventions that were at the heart of it's success.]
.. And just how old is that?
no subject
[Whether there's enough materials to work with is another matter. Norimune's easily amused and intrigued, but this man might have other tastes.]
1000.

[Kaiba is one fussy particular man]
Where do they find these nutjobs...
no subject
[Ah, to be young (relatively speaking) and full of ideas.]
Don't believe me?
no subject
[He was indeed both those things... usually. Lately, he hadn't exactly been setting the dream world on fire]
What, were you cryogenically frozen for most of the millennia?
no subject
[Does he even know what that is? Or would it even affect him?]
no subject
[Sure. Why is everyone here certifiably insane?]
Well I knew someone that claims to be at least 10,000 years old so you still have a lot of catching up to do.
no subject
[The truly ancient, legendary swords... Not like they're here anyway.]
If I live that much longer, I just hope I won't get too bored. This old man need his entertainment in his retirement.
no subject
[... proves that you are a loon.]
At least boredom isn't a terminal condition or I would have expired months ago. [He misses his technology like burning] .. and I can't imagine ever retiring.
