Subject: A Method to Stay in This World
As everyone should know, the version of ourselves in this world is wholly separate from our originals that remain awake in our home worlds. What we do here has no effect there, and vice versa. Most won't care whether they are here for a temporary stay, however there are those like me and Tifa who have formed relationships that would be impossible if not for this world.
And I am determined to make it last.
When the Halloween Carnival arrived last October, we had the opportunity to speak to the tapirs and inquire about the nature of our existence here. In short, we are tethered to our home world which allows us to return, currently at random. However, the fae, creatures, and every other being that is not a dreamer like ourselves do not have such tethers. They either traversed into this world or were directly taken through other means.
This leads to the conclusion that if we want to stay in this world, we need to somehow break the connection, either by completely severing it or changing the tether to connect to this world instead. Perhaps we need to completely change the nature of our current "dream self." As the risk of being sent back is high if the tether is cut, I aim to focus on other means.
However, there is of course no known knowledge or means to do this, and the tapirs do not know, either. Thus I am sending this inquiry to:
1) ask if there are any others who would be interested either to help or in the results;
2) if there is anyone who is familiar with dimensional travel or strong magic that could give some clue as to what to look for.
Currently I am looking through the Tree of Stories to find any text or story that could be of use. My current suspicion is dreamotion will be the main component, however manipulating it for such a use will be difficult.

[And at the appointed time, Eustace will already be there with the table. As promised, the cafe is on the quieter side with the tables spaced out far enough. They get the added bonus that because the weather is (strangely) a bit on the warmer side, they get to be on the outside patio so they have the scenic view of the river.
Alisaie will have the opportunity to order whatever she wants before diving in for the real purpose of their meeting.]

[ His directions weren't hard to follow and Alisaie had no issues finding the location. It's a quaint place. She curiously looks around before situating herself and staring off into the river for a moment.
She does request whatever tea and desserts were popular here be ordered. ]

[ It has been and while and she can't imagine how busy he is. She's got her own things going but is not quite as involved as he seemed to be. After all, it seems tricky to look into ways of staying here in this dreamscape permanently. ]

I believe we were discussing experiences with dimensional travels or magic. Though mine aren’t quite either, I can provide details on how my soul was able to travel worlds. If you prefer, I can start from there.

A world that exists with fourteen others. The Source is the world that I come from. The world I was pulled to was called the First.
Someone's calling summoned us. Their voice was subtle at first, but with each episode, I felt as though something was pulling at me. A few of my companions, including my brother, ended up in comas in our world from the calling. Myself being one of the latest to appear in the First. We were summoned with our souls and mind with corporeal forms that were defined as aether bodies. We could use our magic and move about freely. People in the First can see us all the same. However, we were not able to return to the Source as we were.
Aether is the source of our magic and life.
[ She thought maybe it's good to explain what aether is. At this point, words are being said without context. She doesn’t want to complicate the explanation too much and leaves room for Eustace to ask any questions. ]
However, we could not be separated from our bodies for too long. There was a high chance that we may have died if we didn't return soon. We needed a way to transport our souls and mind without lasting damage.
[ She's going to pause a moment to make sure that he's keeping up. She can't say explaining her world is an easy task. If only her brother or Urianger were here. They'd certainly have a more poetic way of explaining. ]

When you say fourteen worlds... You mean completely different ones? Or different versions of the same world?

It was once a single Star, that was divided into fourteen worlds, shards is the term that we use for them. They all retain a connection to each other, and with the Source especially.

In short, we required a container that will be able to keep everything intact. We couldn't risk any damage to our souls or memories for that matter.
