I guess so. He seems like the kind to be more reserved, which is fine. He can understand me well enough, which is good enough for me.

Sounds similar to me. You might have a pretty easy time channeling Dreamotion energy, if it's similar to something you've already got the hang of.

That sounds pretty cool. Bet it's neat to see one of those enlightened beasts walking around. You ever meet one before?

I would, yeah. There's a saying in my world that goes "talk shit, get hit." It's an ancient rule that probably goes back centuries, so I'd say what you did was totally in line with it.

[He's bullshitting about that rule, but it's not entirely wrong. He's protected his friends in the past, and he'd do it again.]

Sounds like a good idea to me. You should try. For science. Heck if you need a volunteer I'm not opposed to apple pie myself.

Yeah, I have no problem offering what I know. And honestly, I'm of the belief that if you're stumped on an idea on your own, sometimes asking someone to help will do the trick. Sometimes others can see things you can't, you know?

You may be right. I believe the only way to truly know is to enter a dream and find out.

We can still rely on our natural abilities in the real world but that becomes difficult to do in a dream. I hear of something similiar to nightmare corruption as well.

Never heard it phrased as such, but I like it. Gets to the point. [He's going to adopt the phrase, isn't he?]

It's something you can definitely practice. I've gone in dreams before while I've been here, and I know that our abilities don't work as well in dreams as they do out here. So learning to balance what you already know with dreamotion magic is kind of necessary, but it'll help in the long run.

Woah. You must be pretty lucky, then. The most I have in my world are shikigami, which are spirits that can be tamed to follow your orders.

Okay, now I'm curious, what's the weirdest looking one you've met?

I think I get it. Like a different mindset makes a new perspective or something like that, right? Well, if you're really cool with it, I'll totes drop you a line once I have sort of a better idea where I'm going with it.

Better to train now than be caught in a situation where you need it but lack the skills to do so. I'll keep that in mind.

It's strange, things appear to be peaceful but there's more to it than just that.

That’s a bit tricky to say. Things aren’t always what they seem and all that. I don’t think that’s a truth or a lie, it’s just how it is, you know? I guess all you really can do is just be careful, but like. Not paranoid?

At least that’s what I think.

Why would you need tame spirits to follow orders. Should they not be allowed to pass on?

Adepti are not "weird" looking. They change shape according to what is most pleasing to them.
