[ Zack is beyond stressed. Fueled with anxiety and the dread of what occurred in the aftermath of the Story Eater had him all but riled up and restless. It was through some coaxing, despite his initial refusal, that the former SOLDIER takes to the journal for a much needed break.

So here he comes with his horrible handwriting again. At least this time he actually knows who he is addressing . ]

looks like all those baddies are gone for good... hopefully.

[ as much as he wants to stay in the house he's literally losing his mind and all the worry is getting to his head.

[ It's not going to be long really. This punk will make his way to Dreambucks. He's only got his Crownsguard fatigues, so that's what he's in which might look deceptively uncomfortable for a run, but they're perfectly fine. ]

[ thankfully the two of them arrive around the same time, which helps to figure out who was who. It… probably would have helped to get a description beforehand but hey— he was use to running purely off of intuition.

So when he spots a head of blonde hair he almost does a double take, but after a moment of realizing it wasn’t Cloud, he’ll begin to wave towards the visitor. ]

Yooo nice get up! Nice to meetcha in the flesh— I’m Zack. [ Sure Prompto likely knew from the journals, but it doesn’t hurt to give a more formal introduction!

He moves to extend his hands forward with a smile, offering to shake the other’s hand. ]

[ Basic descriptions? Who needs such a thing! Prompto offers Zack a bright smile. He's a foolish, intuitive guy too, largely due to his age. He hasn't exactly read a lot of the journals, but be responds with a smile and and shakes his hand. ]

H-Hey! [ Even having talked to him on the journal didn't allay his anxiety completely, but he's just going to push through it. ]

Nice to meet you, uh, I'm Prompto.

[ Zack can't help but give him a once over the moment their hands make contact. He really did remind him of a chocobo.... ]

Prompto? Great! Ready to get started then? [ He gives the boy's hand a squeeze before letting go and doing the last bit of stretches to get ready. ]

Figured we just keep going until we get tired- no need for a destination in mind, right?

That sounds pretty good to me. [ He stretched a tiny bit before going once they started talking about it because he definitely knows better. This is one of his best hobbies. ]

I didn't have anywhere in mind, but it takes me awhile to get tired.

Alright then... let's see what ya got! [ After a few stretches of his own Zack will begin to take off into a light jog towards one of the main roads, trying to keep pace with Prompto for the time being.

He is always use to running by himself, and Cloud on occasions when he can get him up early enough, so the company was always appreciated! ]

So have you been here long? [ Might as well start off with some questions if this run was going to take awhile! ]

[ Oh no, Prompto is a disgustingly early riser who is more than happy to run mostly because it's great on his mental health which has been taking a beating as of late. ]

Uhhh, I wouldn't say very long? Maybe couple months?

[ He sighs. ] I'm not sure I like it that much. [ He keeps being exposed to nightmares. ]

[ You and him both, Prompto. So much for a silly little dream world. ]

I hear ya, I'd much rather be back home...

[ Yet as the words left his mouth he pauses to think for a moment. Did he really? There certainly was a lot of pros and cons about it (Cons being chased by a literal army that wanted to kill him and his friends, but pros was seeing the person he missed the most and trying to stat a new life). It was... complicated, and his face scrunches together as he picks up his pace a little. ]

... But then again, it wasn't exactly easy there, either.

Uh...well I don't exactly want to go back there either.

[ He sighs heavily but he inclines his head a bit. ]

I feel like I have to though. You know. Have some stuff to do. I can't just abandon Eos to its fate.

... Eos? [ He tilts his head, eyebrows raised. ] Sounds like you got a lot of heavy stuff going on back home.

Oh no no no I'm not that important? [ He waves his hands a little, looking flustered. ]

I just, um. It'd be important to Noct and he's my king and I just- um, um, and also the people and yeah...

[ He didn't want to give the wrong impression. ]

[ okay wait hold on a second

Zack slows down his pace a little more, face only pinching further in confusion. ]

... Noct? You mean Noctis, right? He's a king? Like, a king king?

Ummmm...yes? [ Prompto looks a bit sheepish. ]

Oh but he doesn't really want to be addressed that way or anything, so you don't have to, but yeah. King of Lucis.

Oh, you have got to be kidding me. Seriously?

Yeah. [ He laughs. ] It's totally true. He was just a prince when we were in high school though. The king thing...is recent. But I mean he's never really been a fan of the whole thing.

I can tell. [ CAN YOU REALLY, ZACK. ] Never would've pinned him as royalty. You sure we're talking about the same person?

Uh huh. Sleepy guy, really loves fishing that's him. [ King, all the hope in Eos, you know, a lot of stuff. ]

He's great though! He cares about everyone. That's what makes him a good king. I'd follow him anywhere. [ Whether that says more about Prompto or Noctis, he doesn't know. ]

[ Tic Tac Toe expert too, apparently..... yeah that was him, alright.

Zack shakes his head, still a bit in disbelief, but Prompto's words does put him a bit more at ease. ]

Sounds like you two are pretty good friends, then! Does protecting a king come with any perks though? Got any shiny metals to go along with it?

What? [ Prompto laughs. ] No, no medals. As if.

[ Please, he'd die of embarrassment. ]

I get to spend every day with my best friend, it's a pretty good perk.
