so... I know this is probably an akward time. but is there a pride month here? I figure Id ask since so many of us are from some version of earth.

I was looking forward to going to the one in New York City. it was supposed to be my first since you kno coming out.

just thoght Id ask.

Oh, also. I can preform any funeral rites needed. Im sorta a priest in that respect. I take last rites very seriously and will do my best to honor their beliefs.

[Doesn't hurt that in the Soldier Enhancement Program he was literally Solder #76 either-]

Knowing what I've seen and heard of that kid? Not at all surprised.

Expression of freedom and not hiding- and some guys just like having their shirts off. There's also the marching around and spending a lot of time in the sun and heat, so it's cooler. Some paint pride colors on their chest, or phrases. Sometimes shirtless just goes with the whole 'look' they're aiming for.

Really, the reason depends on the guy and their level of comfort in their own skin I figure.

Basically, as well as celebrating and remembering those that headed things and fought to get to where we are now. First Pride was a riot and all.

Just celebrating is fine, too. Getting out there and enjoying yourself for who you are, surrounded by others doing the same.

Better to remember the history than no, I figure.

Make sure you take some breaks if you feel overwhelmed- first one, even in a place like this, can drag that up quick. Sure there's some shady places to spend a quiet moment here and there for whatever party Sora helps cook up.

You and someone else I know- and I've gotten good at it myself. Sometimes it's good to take some time like that.

Have to see if my partner has plans.

Sure- I'm one of the cooks at The Wild Harvest. Could get a good meal out of it, since I'm always cooking something up, if not on break and still there.

If you don't mind talking with an old man.

I do a lot of- well, midwestern American cooking as a sot of easy go to. I know recipes from all over the world given how much I used to travel. Whatever you might feel like that day, can probably whip up something for you.

[--and that sort of talk read just a little familiar. Was this like that Leo kid? Huh.]

Good, since I at least don't look at day over fifty myself- but, yeah.

Can do some hamburgers- we got the grill set up. Can try my hand at some Italian too if it's what you're in the mood for whenever you come by.

Honestly? I couldn't either, but somehow managed it despite a lot.

Very easy, and I'm pretty good with cooking over fire with meat. Also do a veggie burger option for those that don't want meat.

Hopefully luck holds out.

Yeah- basically a patty made with things like black beans, or soy, amongst other things. Then there's that stuff like- impossible or beyond meat made to look and taste like meat?

Basically, science has come a ways when it comes to food for those who don't want to or can't eat meat to get similar experiences if they want it.

As far as I can guess? They like every other part of the dish, flavor combos and the like. Some folks just can't eat meat anymore because of health reasons, and for others' it's personal.

So, reckon they just want to still enjoy those things, and find ways to do so.

Yeah- there's something from a tick bite that can make someone allergic to red meat. Some have issue digesting meat, period, and others do it for other health concerns.

The body can be really weird sometimes when it comes down to it.

Pretty much covers it, yeah.
