so... I know this is probably an akward time. but is there a pride month here? I figure Id ask since so many of us are from some version of earth.

I was looking forward to going to the one in New York City. it was supposed to be my first since you kno coming out.

just thoght Id ask.

Oh, also. I can preform any funeral rites needed. Im sorta a priest in that respect. I take last rites very seriously and will do my best to honor their beliefs.

Ah, is that so? Hmm... Though such couplings are not as common in my own world, they do exist. In fact, I know several who have engaged in such unions, though we did not impart a label unto them apart from their relationship or marital status. That means you are one attracted to other men, correct?

Is there a particular reason to define oneself by who it is they love? Aside from the prospect of courting another, of course.

just a quick claification. its only one of my worlds funerary rites. there are many ways to preform last rites for people depending on creed.

yeah... I like other guys. Its not exactly common but its not uncommon.

as for the reason why are defined by our attractin is because other people, people who 'normal' decided we should be.

I see. Yes, that does make sense; techniques vary in Teyvat as well. Then perhaps it would be beneficial to assist you in what I know as well; that way, if any of the funerary rites of the people here match with your world's or my own, we can carry on accordingly.

Are there people in your world who disapprove of your attraction to others?

... yeah. they dont a few major religions have big objections. because were not 'productive'

Hmm. I can understand the desire to carry on tradition and continue a family dynasty. Such is the legacy humans are able to leave behind, and having progeny can be one way to ensure the traditions and values of a culture are carried on to future generations.

However, I find that condemning others simply because they choose to forge a legacy in other ways does little more than breed suffering and discourse. A nation should look after the wellbeing of all its citizens, should it not?

it should. but many nations have and still hate people like me. many would kill us if we're caught.

[How awful... being persecuted for something that one had no control over. For the way they were born. Nico might not be able to see it, but Zhongli is shaking his head.]

It is disappointing to hear that there are nations where people like you are persecuted in such a way. If the only crime that someone commits is existing, without bringing harm to others, then that person is no criminal, but a victim.

I am sorry to hear that such places exist in your world. I hope that you have not faced such hostility during your time here?

things are better now for me. but Im mostly isolated from mortals...

Though it is true that it is difficult to change one's mind, all one can do is plant the seeds of progress in the soil of today, in the hopes that they take root and grow for generations to follow. Though perhaps you may not see the results today, perhaps in enough time, those wishes will become commonplace. Even the strongest bedrock can be reduced to dust, given enough time.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with this symbol. What does it represent?

sorta yeah. theyre supposed to be emotions or something.

I can understand how that would be useful, given that one's tone and intentions may be lost amidst script. Are there other such emojee that exist?

yeah. I don't use them too often. but sometimes theyre the most useful thing

When does this pride festival usually take place? I would very much like to attend if one happens here.

sometime during the month of June. This month. sixth month. usualy during the same weekend as Fathers Day. for ironie i think.

[Zhongli is not familiar with "Father's Day", but he assumes it's some other kind of festival in Nico's world. My, there's so many festivals in Nico's world!]

I see. Then I will keep an eye out for this festival, so that I can attend it. I do hope to see you there.
