I haven’t seen Mamá or Papá or any of my family members in over a year. It is quite that long.

As to how do I cope not having them around, I tried to focus on channeling my energy onto gardening, reading, and learning to cook food similarly to her own cooking.

I like to watch TV and play spy when I'm all alone. Maybe I could do those things here too.

Oh dear, I’m really sorry to hear that. I can’t imagine not being able to celebrate one’s birthday without any family around. I actually celebrated mine on my own last year.

Oh yes, it is entirely possible. I actually know of a young girl who has her cd player and music cd with her and they do a lot to keep her preoccupied. What is playing spy like by the way?

Sadly I have lost my parents and most of my family long before I came here. That also includes my sisters and brother unfortunately.

But I have been missing my Grandmama for around three years now, she is one of the few remaining members of my family I have left.

Thats so sad. I didn't have a mom and dad for a long time before my papa adopted me.

Yeah it was really tough having to deal with a high amount of losses at a young age. No one shouldn’t lose this many loved ones in one sitting as a young kid.

At least I was able to get to know and spend time with them before they were all gone.

What did you do to make the hurt go away?

Well I always try to make sure to remember the fond memories we had with each other and keeping their memory alive. It’s the best thing I could do to keep them alive in my heart.

I know my mom and dad aren't gone, but if I think about them a lot, maybe They'll think of me too and we'll kind of be together.

Yes, that often works in both ways. As long as you think of them everyday and they also do the same thing with you, you’re never too far away from each other figuratively speaking.
