timeline breaking is his love language

i understand there have been some efforts to manipulate or control how long one remains in this realm, with a focus on anchoring oneself here permanently.
i had wondered if anyone had looked into a method by which one might retain their memories of this place even upon their waking? if not, i'd like to ask for suggestions on where one might start investigating this matter.
any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I haven't heard many things about being able to return with our memories of this place. Mostly because once people have left how are we, the ones who remain, to know? Yet...! I went home for a time and while I was there I remembered nothing of this world! But the difference in that was I did come back.
It's quite the mystery...

[And he may want to "fix" some things given his place in the timeline but shhh--]
you do bring up a good point in that it will be difficult to confirm if any of the efforts made towards this endeavor are working. still, i have to believe it is possible in some fashion. it is possible to train oneself to dream lucidly, is it not?
no subject
Oh, and I'm very sure there are many ways to learn how to lucidly dream. Some are more than likely healthier than others!
no subject
then would you happen to know of any of these "healthier" methods? i am willing to cast as wide a net as i am able for this, though i suspect there would be a preference that i avoid the unhealthier techniques.
[To avoid culpability, if nothing else.]
no subject
[From what Venti's come to hint about the other.]
As for healthier methods... Ehe. So long as you consider mushrooms organic and healthy? You could always try those.
[... Magic mushrooms are a thing, okay?]
no subject
[Somehow the cagey bastard manages to be even more cagey over text. He doesn't know who's reading this!! ... And yet--]
i do consider mushrooms to be both of those things, but i am not certain i follow as to how they are meant to help in this regard?
[... he's spent the last seven years largely in the company of one (1) somewhat strict guardian figure. what is a weed-]

[BOY OH BOY HOW DOES HE EXPLAIN]
I'm not experienced with it myself but I hear that certain types of mushrooms can cause rather vivid dreams or even help with relaxation! And some can even cause hallucinations? On purpose, if purposefully eaten.
[Bullshit, Venti has toally tried mushroms, he loves Sumeru.]
no subject
[Somewhere in the Sacred Realm, Impa feels a vague irritation in the back of her mind.]
that seems... somewhat unwise on the surface. what if one hallucinates something violent or frightful? [he doesn't have control issues, you have control issues--]
no subject
Ehe, I'm only joking. Nevermind the mushrooms!
no subject
[local ninja might go on a mushroom trip yet]
no subject
Hm! If you have any stories from your trials, please do share! Take care!
sender: revali
What is it you're looking to remember when you leave here? I'm going to guess it's not simply memories of a relaxing time in Reverein.
no subject
i should think you already know the answer to that question, given our previous discussion.
no subject
[no one was asking, Revali...]
What good will information that far in the future do without any knowledge of the lead up to those events?
no subject
but would you not feel obligated to try, in my position?
no subject
no subject
[This is most certainly not the case for a variety of reasons, but Revali doesn't know that.]
i hardly have a full report planned for you when the idea is still in its infancy. would you object to a series of warnings at minimum? notices to prepare, to archive the struggles of the present to better inform the future?

[sheik are you allowed to make that kind of decision--]

[If it were possible to sound deadpan through text, this would 100% sound deadpan. He doesn't know what sort of temples even existed in Sheik's time, but it seems like an idea worth calling out.]

using what is already there will lessen the burden upon the people as they rebuild, even if it's just for a generation or two.
[It's creative problem solving, Revali!!]

You'll understand if I'm skeptical that something free of evil influence can remain that way for so long, surely.
[Sure was super fun hanging out with a blight ganon and all its ooze for a century.]
no subject
[would you have preferred not having a giant laser beam shooting bird mecha???]
regardless, all these arguments are moot if they are to be forgotten upon returning to hyrule. do you have any thoughts in that regard, or are you merely interested in being contrary?
no subject
Is it possible? Who knows. The way this place works, I doubt any of us do really. But how different can recalling a dream be from waiting around as a spirit for a century?
sender: Ferran
[He's certainly interested in the idea, that's for sure...]
I'd think it involves strengthening our connection to our selves back home. It seems like the people trying to stay here are doing the same basic thing, but in a different direction? Anchoring themselves here instead of home, but still securing the link somehow. They may have some useful information.
I've heard that some people don't remember things when they go home at all, but some people get a sense that they had a long dream and were missing something, so the possibility is there. Maybe focusing on dreamwalking could help? Like it could get your spirit or soul or something used to remembering everything inside a dream, and maybe that could carry over.
no subject
it feels as though there are a myriad of avenues to choose from, with none more obvious than any other. for instance, i hadn't thought of dreamwalking myself, but when put that way, it does sound viable. are you very experienced in the practice?
[Sheik's more the type that would rather forgo sleep entirely than risk opening his dreams to meddling, but if it could help, then maybe...]
no subject
[Eustace has some interesting quirks, but Ferran will never fault him for being stingy with information. On the subject of dreamwalking... well, Ferran's closer to Shiek's end of the spectrum when it comes to wanting people in these things.]
I try not to be, honestly, but I've walked into more than a few just by accident. I like to think I'm decent at controlling my dreamotion once I'm in one, though.
