I think people who wish a stranger a happy birthday are generally being kind. Even if your cousin was teasing you strangers might care, especially if it's a milestone like 18.

It is. It's a big milestone. In most countries that makes me a legal adult.

I can't really speak for the rest of earth, but I'm from Japan, which is a pretty major technological hub? It's... nice, but I don't really have much in the way of worldly experience yet, since I haven't even finished school. I'm on my last year, though.

Honestly even if I'm done highschool I still have to worry about college entrance exams. What kind of job I want. Those kinds of things.

Uh... It was kind of given to me because I could help keep the Plants healthy. No one else could.

But I don't know if it counts as a job. I was just trying to find a place to fit in.

It's probably not like what you're imagining. The planet I live on is a desert planet. The Plants are kinda.... difficult to explain.

Plants can produce just about anything humans need, but the planet we're on is pretty inhospitable for life. So they work too hard and can get sick, or die.

I don't know why, but I can bring them back before they do.
So, for a while that's what I did.

[At least thats what he thinks. It'd be weird for him to not be popular with such miraculous abilities like that, though every time he says Plant Kazuya is just kind of thinking of things like sunflowers and other vegetation.]

I was just joking. I'm not really sure what sort of job I want. I'm no good at programming or computer stuff like Naoya, so that's definitely out. All my friends kind of have way more interesting job opportunities than I do, now that I think about it.
