Anybody want some mirrors? After the crap with them during Halloween and the Ice Queen's place, I don't want them in the house anymore. I'll swap ya for building materials or help building my shrine.

That's me! The one and only Delivery God-- er, God of Fortune, Yato!

[He puffs up his chest trying (rather futilely) to seem more impressive. Which is kind of tough to do when you're a tracksuit-wearing goofball, really.]

So Hiyori's been talking about me, huh?? Has she been hyping me up? Or has she been shit-talking me behind my back?!

[Depending on her mood and whether they've had a misunderstanding, he could believe either to be true.]

[ This isn't what she'd expected from a fellow god. At least that means she won't have too much trouble! Hopefully... Usually she got to be careful other gods aren't snobbing her or talking in her back, like Nergal. They see a lonely goddess who never leaves her cave and is anxiety-riddled, and next thing you know they're mocking her! Cowards picking an easy target who can't fight back!

Such things make her very sad and are delicate to deal with (using violence till they apologize is usually the best way). ]

She has most definitely been talking about you in a most reverent and positive manner.

[Being a (really, really) minor god that nobody knows, Yato isn't one to take potshots at others who are struggling. Though big name skanks who tried to kill him for centuries are fair game. He tends to see himself in most people that are having a hard time, and that makes him want to help them rather than mock them.

The news that Hiyori hasn't been badmouthing him, but has had good things to say about him leave him blushing all of a sudden. He's... not used to such admiration yet.]

Really? Reverently, too? Damn. I wonder if she's feeling under the weather...

[He mutters that last part, only half-joking. But he stands up a little straighter at her next words, nodding emphatically.]

O-Of course! She's precious to me, too. [More than he can verbally articulate.] B-B-But don't go telling her I said that...!

[ Oh no. The stuttering, the wording, the request for her not to repeat his words...

He's in love with her!! And by the sound of it, he doesn't dare speak of his feelings. Why does this feel so familiar...? Oh right, her love for Ritsuka which she's decided to never confess.

That makes her wonder if Ritsuka talks about her as often as Hiyori talks about Yato to other people? Probably not. She can't imagine Ritsuka sliding mid-conversation a "Oh and I work with this really awesome goddess named Ereshkigal" every now and then. It's really an one-sided love.

Nevermind her as she very sadly stares absently into nothing for a couple seconds. ]
