Anybody want some mirrors? After the crap with them during Halloween and the Ice Queen's place, I don't want them in the house anymore. I'll swap ya for building materials or help building my shrine.

Actually it lasted for a few hours at most but it did felt like a year was taken away from me. True, it could have been much worse. It seems as if regular objects like trains or mirrors are not spared from being made into terrifying objects that we have to deal with.

I agree. The people are very friendly and kind and the town is mostly calm and relaxing for the most part. Especially since I have been here for two years by now.

Yes, I am not making this up: it is not a mistake. I actually arrived here from another world via a portal while I was helping in fighting a monster that tried to destroy that other world and this one.

On the other hand, it seems as if time freezes whenever we are asleep and stuck in this world. So there doesn’t seem to be a rush to return home from what I have observed. I don’t think that everyone at home might have noticed our disappearance unless they too have fallen asleep as well.

And this monster didn't end up following you? Or do you think it was taken care of by other people?

Ah, really?? So they'll be okay without me, huh... That's a huge relief, I gotta say. Thanks for letting me know. I've been here for about three months now and this is the first I've heard of it.

From whay I can recall, that monster was trying to escape me and several other people from the other world with that portal. For a long time, it tried to attack us and this world through various means but we were able to seal it away so it wouldn’t try to do any harm for the foreseeable future.

You’re welcome anytime. I have my worries over my friends and grandmama wondering where I have been to but I began to realize that maybe time at home hasn’t moved on without me so I didn’t have to worry about them too much.

Damn, sounds like a pretty epic battle, and it has a happy ending! I gotta say it's a relief to know it won't be popping up to terrorize this peaceful place anytime soon. This has been almost like a vacation!

That really is a load off my mind since I left with so much on my plate that needed dealing with. Knowing it'll all be waiting for me when I wake up means I can focus on things here and just enjoy myself for a bit.

Yeah. I can guarantee you that it was quite a big grand battle to participate. At least there will be peace in this world as long as we can keep that monster in check and no one tries to release it out of its sealed location any time soon. You might say that this is a very long much deserved vacation indeed.

Agreed. At least we can take things much more slowly without fretting too much about the state of our home worlds and relax knowing that our homes won’t be moving along without us. I have a friend back home who is still unconscious and I was worried about him when a big chunk of rock hit him on the head but at least he is still there if ever I have to return to my world.

Yeah, that makes a huuuge difference in how I view things now. I'll have to let my friend know as well so she won't fret too. But damn, sucks about your friend! I hope he'll be okay when you get back, which I'm sure you will one day soon. Head injuries are nothing to scoff at, that's for sure.

Yes that is correct. Head injuries are never fun to deal with. You never know what they can do to a person’s brain especially if the object that hits the head could deliver some major pain. I do hope that he will be okay when I return home someday.

Sure am! Though it may be more accurate to say I've switched specialties and now focus on being a God of Fortune! Doesn't negate all the years I spent training and fighting, though.

Yeah, humans tend to be delicate creatures in general, but the head is a particularly vulnerable spot for most. Yet still they're surprisingly resilient when you least expect it. I'm sure your friend is the same way.

I didn’t know that gods can change specialities at will. Still it is always nice to have some speciality towards a variety of topics and subjects.

Well, it can be difficult to make the switch, but I'm trying! There's not much call for a war god in peaceful Japan at the moment, so I'd rather try to focus on making people happy.

Heheh... But no, really! I don't doubt your friend will get completely better once you're by his side. Sometimes all that's needed is a loved one's presence.

Looking out for people’s well being and happiness is of a high priority. That is something my family has been trying to do for many centuries. It is not easy trying to make sure that everyone will be happy and content but it doesn’t mean that it is impossible to do.

Agreed: everyone needs somebody who is always there for you and has a shoulder to lean on through the good and the bad.
