Anybody want some mirrors? After the crap with them during Halloween and the Ice Queen's place, I don't want them in the house anymore. I'll swap ya for building materials or help building my shrine.

[ It's also a shame on Malon's end that her writing can't effectively communicate how surprised she is to be meeting a literal god. What even is a delivery god anyway... ]

[One of the challenges of this being the not-quite-modern world anymore. How he misses cellphones! It's so difficult to gauge what kind of reception he's getting through a written format.]

That's right! It's my duty to hear the pleas of people and answer them as best I can, in return for being worshiped and loved.

[Okay, maybe not so much the second part, but he wants that, too, dammit!]

Not exactly. It's more like I can come to people when they have problems. Like if you needed something, I'd teleport over there to lend a hand instead of you having to come to me.

[ She definitely does not know, but now she is imagining someone simply blinking out of existence in one spot and then popping up somewhere else entirely, sans any whooshing or other fanfare. ]

Oh, I understand now. That would be handy for making deliveries!

[At least she's got the general idea down, even if it doesn't come with all the cool flashy bits that his actual teleportation entails. Though it does make him wonder where she's from if she's never heard of the ability to teleport.]

What about people? Can you deliver people? And can you pick them up from anywhere?

You know, I'm not sure how that'd work here. Usually I could only take people's spirits with me, but maybe I should see if I can bring them wholesale since this is a dream world. But yeah, pretty much anywhere, provided I know the location.

[He'd be making so much more money if he was...]

Then, if I pray to you enough, do you think you could bring my dad here? I can tell you exactly where to find him. But if you're a god then you already know about where everything everywhere is, right?

[Aw... Now he feels a bit bad about it, especially since he'll have to let her down gently.]

Normally I'd say yes, but seeing as how we're from different worlds in an entirely new one, I'm afraid my reach is much more limited. And where I'm from, despite what you might think, gods aren't entirely all-knowing. We're limited in our abilities much the same way as humans are. Like we only know what we've seen and what's in front of us.

If you have the same limitations as humans, then how come you're considered a god? I thought that immortal/magic/all-knowingness was what made gods gods.

[ Not trying to sound atheist here or anything... ]

[It's always depressing when he has to disappoint someone who was hoping they could rely on him, but it's better to be upfront and honest about what he can and can't do.]

For one, I can't be killed by mortal means. For another, I do have some skills that humans don't have. I'm not the same physically, too.

[He doesn't blame her for being skeptical, or at least confused. At first blush he does seem like a fairly average person. Aside from the weird tracksuit and scarf he wears.]
