Anybody want some mirrors? After the crap with them during Halloween and the Ice Queen's place, I don't want them in the house anymore. I'll swap ya for building materials or help building my shrine.

Sounds like a plan. I'll draw the design on the wood for you to follow, and we'll go from there!

[He gets started on putting action to words, humming a little under his breath until a thought occurs to him.]

So are you like, a samurai cookie or something?

I'm unfamiliar with the term "samurai". What do you mean?

Guess that's a no, then. The samurai were a class of warriors who served various lords. You manner just reminds me of them, that's all.

I don't serve any lords. I give my all to protect my village.

[ However, she does pause for thought. ]

Although... recently, we learned one of our Cookies was actually a king from times long past. They'd lost their memory, and now they're leading the charge not only in restoring their kingdom, but stopping the Cookies of Darkness. They were always my friend, so I would do anything for him... but since he sent me out on a mission, I suppose you could say it's close to obeying a lord.

[Cookies of Darkness... it sounds so silly to a degree, yet utterly serious given Black Raisin's stoic attitude. He manages not to snicker, at least.]

Aha! See, that is pretty similar in a way! You have that air about you of someone with a similar disposition to them. Though do I dare ask what or who the Cookies of Darkness are?

[ Her face darkens... as much as a cute face like hers can, anyway. ]

An army of Cookies that intends to take over all of Earthbread, and rule over every single Cookie. They're led by Dark Enchantress Cookie... a Cookie of pure evil who wields destructive power. It was thought she was defeated in the Great Flour War, but she's been resurrected, and is now even stronger.

Before I came to this world, my friend... that former king... sent out to help find his allies who had defeated her the first time.

[Okay, this is definitely starting to get pretty ridiculous to him. But he's going to be polite! He won't laugh!! And he tries to keep his faint smile sympathetic.]

Wow, that does sound like one ominous threat you're up against. Quite the task you have before you when she's that dangerous with an entire army at her disposal. I can see why you'd be eager to get back home.

And yet you're still taking time out to help me. So, uh... thanks for that.

... It's not as if I can help my friend or defeat Dark Enchantress Cookie while I'm here. So I may as well do what I can. I'm helping you because you're helping me. A debt for a debt, a favor for a favor.

[Hey, he's not about to diss somebody's problems, not when it's the sort of thing he might help a normal person with.]

Fair point. It sure beats sitting around moping about not being able to get back home or do anything about your troubles there. But still, I appreciate it.
