[Sorry, he's not going to put his "name" to something like this. It's awkward, and given that his "name" right now is just "Nameless Wanderer", he's pretty sure attaching it to this post would get people asking questions that aren't any of their business.]

Do you like your name? What does it mean? Who gave it to you? Would you change it if you could, and if you would what would it be?

I'm doing some research on names and why humans get so attached to them or don't.

It's all I have left of my parents. So I like it.

Though there's now someone named after me which is weird as heck.

Though she's named 'Toby' not 'Tobias', it's still clearly after me.

Sentimental stuff isn't really something I'm good with anymore, but there's still parts of it left. I just don't really understand a lot of it anymore.

Maybe I'm just jaded, I don't know.

Humans are sentimental creatures. I've never understood it, not really. [Says the guy who tried to delete himself from history to save his friends who died five hundred years ago.] What does your name mean, if you know?

I don't actually know. I know a lot of names were originally religious but even those names had to mean something. No idea what, though.

Religious? I don't think I've ever heard of names coming from a religion, where I'm from.

Well like - there's a lot of holy books of different religions? And there's people in those books, so people like to name their kids after them to try to give them the qualities of those people in the books.

I think that's the reasoning, anyway.

And I don't know, it might be somewhere in the library? I don't believe in it so I didn't exactly go looking.
