A moment of your time, if I may.
I seek the advice of anyone skilled in the usage of dreamotion magic, most especially those who made use of their own kind of magic before arriving here. Anyone is welcome to contribute what they know, of course. I'll take any advice into account.
I've managed to grasp the basics of how everything operates here, though I've found that the spells I've attempted have been erratic and inconsistent in nearly any situation, even if emotions are not a factor.
My request? Pray tell me if this is aught you've experienced or even similar. Normally I would work alone to pinpoint and fix my own shortcomings, but [Something was written here and then quickly scratched out, replaced with:] ah, never mind that. I'd like to hear what others have to say on the matter.
My thanks in advance.

But that will not stop Zelda from offering her perspective, especially to an old friend. ]
I experienced those same troubles with dreamotion magic when I was younger. Many times, my dreamotion manifested in ways completely different from what I was trying to do. And that was when I managed to create any at all. There were plenty of times where my efforts simply resulted in nothing.

The former is what has caused me the most trouble so far, though I have had times when naught would manifest. Or naught that was visible.
Naught has been irreparably damaged so far, so I consider that progress.

... She still doesn't really love it nowadays either. But she has extensive experience with the problem G'raha is having, so maybe she can help. ]
What sort of results have you been getting? And how far have they deviated from your original intent?
Sender: Frisk
Do you think that getting better at dreamotion can help those kinds of things?

If your innate abilities differ greatly from what you're able to do with dreamotion, perhaps you can focus on the "new" skills and return to what you've known previously at a later time.
[Will he take his own advice? Probably not, because dreamotion has presented A Challenge and he must defeat it. Whether Frisk listens is up to them.]

I only had to do what I did at home so I could keep going. But, if dreamotion can be the same, then it'd be nice to be able to do that, too.
What kind of magic could you do at home?

Are you magically inclined or do your talents lie elsewhere?
no subject
I know that it's different here.
If I get really hurt, I can go back to before it happened. It's kind of like healing, like you can do.

No magic...but some control over the flow of time?
no subject
Did your magic get weaker, too?
no subject
Not enough to notice, only erratic.
Ah, so it isn't manipulation of time itself, simply returning to a fixed point in the past to undo...say an injury, as you said. Interesting.

Yeah. My friend here calls it SAVING and LOADING. He used to be able to do it -- until I could do it instead.

I would imagine that the amount of training one has had would play a role as well.
