A moment of your time, if I may.

I seek the advice of anyone skilled in the usage of dreamotion magic, most especially those who made use of their own kind of magic before arriving here. Anyone is welcome to contribute what they know, of course. I'll take any advice into account.

I've managed to grasp the basics of how everything operates here, though I've found that the spells I've attempted have been erratic and inconsistent in nearly any situation, even if emotions are not a factor.

My request? Pray tell me if this is aught you've experienced or even similar. Normally I would work alone to pinpoint and fix my own shortcomings, but
[Something was written here and then quickly scratched out, replaced with:] ah, never mind that. I'd like to hear what others have to say on the matter.

My thanks in advance.

[ Oh! That's a name Zelda didn't expect to see. She knew G'raha Tia previously, but he had awoken to his own world some months ago. She feels a momentary spark of delight when she recognizes his name, but it fades as she reads his message. He writes as though he does not remember his previous time here. Zelda has heard of such a phenomenon. Many dreamers who return to Songerein after waking retain their memories of their previous stay, but there are some who do not. It's unfortunate.

But that will not stop Zelda from offering her perspective, especially to an old friend. ]

I experienced those same troubles with dreamotion magic when I was younger. Many times, my dreamotion manifested in ways completely different from what I was trying to do. And that was when I managed to create any at all. There were plenty of times where my efforts simply resulted in nothing.

[ Nodding emphatically, yep that sounds like Zelda's experience when she was a teenager. She hated dreamotion back then.

... She still doesn't really love it nowadays either. But she has extensive experience with the problem G'raha is having, so maybe she can help. ]

What sort of results have you been getting? And how far have they deviated from your original intent?

I had things that I could do at home that I can do here, but it's a lot different than dreamotion.

Do you think that getting better at dreamotion can help those kinds of things?

I haven't tried it yet.

I only had to do what I did at home so I could keep going. But, if dreamotion can be the same, then it'd be nice to be able to do that, too.

What kind of magic could you do at home?

I can't use magic, but the monsters at home can.

I know that it's different here.

If I get really hurt, I can go back to before it happened. It's kind of like healing, like you can do.

Kind of... At least, I can go back to a certain point if I want to. It doesn't work as well here.

Did your magic get weaker, too?

If it's only a little... that's good. It's hard to get used to not having something like before.

Yeah. My friend here calls it SAVING and LOADING. He used to be able to do it -- until I could do it instead.

The type of magic utilized in my own world has many similarities to dreamotion. I did not find it difficult to adapt to dreamotion once I learned the basic principles, but it stands to reason that it would be more challenging for those whose own style of magic works in a different fashion.

I would imagine that the amount of training one has had would play a role as well.
