On May 5th of this year, it was my brother's 19th birthday. Or at least that's what I think it should be, if he were here.

I was lucky to encounter someone from his crew here, where I got to hear about his adventures in our world. But this person left and I couldn't hear all I wanted to know.

Lately I've been thinking about home again. I hadn't done so in a while because I actually really like this place! but I wonder how everyone back home is doing, you know?

What I'm saying is that I don't know what to do? Should I tell everyone how amazing my brother is? Should I talk more about my friends and crew back home? Or should I just keep trying to live in the moment?

I'm conflicted beyond belief.

Hi Ace. I also feel the same thing as well, while I do love this place a lot I have been thinking about my home and my loved ones for a long time.

Still have a grandmother and some friends in there and I have no idea of how they are holding up while I’m here. Maybe by talking about the people we love as much as we can while we’re still in here, maybe that could ease the feeling of homesickness a little bit.

It would entirely depend on you, I think, when it comes to what you should or should not do. Would talking about them make you feel more connected to them? Or would it cause you to miss them too much when you do?

That could depend from person to person and how they feel about their own world and loved ones.

I really miss my family and my home very much, I haven’t seen any of them for over two years now but I try to make the best of being far away from them by talking about them to anyone who would be interested in learning more about them.

I wonder about my own home quite often, so you are not alone in that, Ace. And the advice may seem trite or unhelpful when you are conflicted, but you should follow your Heart.

my heart? It keeps telling me I should enjoy my time but I don't know if my brain agrees.

But I would love to hear about your grandma and your friends! What are they like?

I wasn't in the best place when I came here, but I guess with time passing it just made me think back on them.

I would love to hear about your family! Are they as cool as you?

probably? I'm not sure actually, i mean i love talking about my crew and my brother, but I haven't gotten the chance to do in a while.

I was away from my brother for three years, without communication, before we saw each other again, so maybe i don't think i'll miss them too much?

Then by all means do talk about them. I have nothing against acting as a sympathetic ear from time to time if you wish to do so.

Perhaps. I oftentimes needed to be away from my own brothers for large periods of time, we all grew used to it but I always did feel their abscence rather keenly.

Oh yes, I would be honored to talk so much about them. I’ll start with Grandmama especially: she is said to be a very beautiful and smart lady in her generation. She never fails to be gracious and courteous to anyone who has the honor to meet her. Also quite intelligent enough to be able to pick up on Russian quickly despite not having to speak it initially when she arrived in my country for the first time. She is even fluent in other languages like her native Danish, English, German, and French.

Grandmama was especially gifted in painting and drawing and was capable in participating in sports like swimming and gymnastics at a time when it is rare for ladies to partake in them. She even has a great sense of fashion: many people outside of Russia greatly admire it regardless of their social stature.

Oh yes. Everyone in my family are just as cool as me too, each of them being just as lively in their own way.

For example Tía Pepa has a unique ability to control the weather with her emotions even if she can be a bit of an emotional wreck at times which does happen a lot. Still very lovely to meet though, rain or shine. She even taught me how to dance at a young age. Tío Bruno can be very quirky and eccentric at times but he is quite lovable and he has the ability to look into the future with the help of sand and glass panes. He is also great friend with rats too.

I think it's important not to dwell too much on missing them, but trying to never talk about them just seems like [Hm. His writing pauses.] a missed opportunity, I guess. Like shutting a part of yourself away.

Really? That's so sweet of you! I could tell you anything really, they're a bunch of crazy people.

I don't think I needed to be away from Luffy, but I knew we had to be so.

She sounds so badass! I bet she is very popular, even as an older lady, because she's just that cool.

Weather control?! that's so cool! Does she make it rain a lot then? I don't have any cool family like that. Also looking into the future is so scary!

With rats? That's badass.

Is it? I'd think it would just be the decent thing to do. We are all in this together, after all, it's only right that we should try to look out for eachothers well-being.

That is the way of life at times, though I'm not so sure I see the difference.

Yes quite often. She does get a little emotional pretty often but she still makes do with what she is given. Oh yes it can be scary to look into the future like what he does. The town did give him so much trouble for the longest time since they don’t often understand what the visions he discovers are trying to say to them until recently.

That is right, rats. They are actually very friendly creatures once you get to know them. Very helpful in handling plenty of chores around the house too.

Oh yes I thought so as well. She was very much more well rounded in her education than most women for certain. A lot of people do really love her very much from what she has told me through the years.

She is quite an insightful thoughtful old lady after all.

That actually makes sense! Luffy is a huge part of my life and not talking about him, or about my crew, would be bad!

You think so?

his name is Luffy, he's three years younger than me, and a great pirate! He has a weird power, the one of the gum gum fruit, which means he turned to rubber! His whole body is rubbery and weird to touch but you get used to it really fast. He's also really strong, and even broke into jail to get me out! he didn't, but he did save me from being executed.

And i guess the difference is just need vs want?

She's a strong woman then! And powerful too! Ah yes, having weird powers that others don't understand can make things difficult, but that means the town likes him now right?

That's so cool! My brother is really good at making friends with animals, but never like that.
