On May 5th of this year, it was my brother's 19th birthday. Or at least that's what I think it should be, if he were here.

I was lucky to encounter someone from his crew here, where I got to hear about his adventures in our world. But this person left and I couldn't hear all I wanted to know.

Lately I've been thinking about home again. I hadn't done so in a while because I actually really like this place! but I wonder how everyone back home is doing, you know?

What I'm saying is that I don't know what to do? Should I tell everyone how amazing my brother is? Should I talk more about my friends and crew back home? Or should I just keep trying to live in the moment?

I'm conflicted beyond belief.

Oh yes. Everyone in my family are just as cool as me too, each of them being just as lively in their own way.

For example Tía Pepa has a unique ability to control the weather with her emotions even if she can be a bit of an emotional wreck at times which does happen a lot. Still very lovely to meet though, rain or shine. She even taught me how to dance at a young age. Tío Bruno can be very quirky and eccentric at times but he is quite lovable and he has the ability to look into the future with the help of sand and glass panes. He is also great friend with rats too.

Weather control?! that's so cool! Does she make it rain a lot then? I don't have any cool family like that. Also looking into the future is so scary!

With rats? That's badass.

Yes quite often. She does get a little emotional pretty often but she still makes do with what she is given. Oh yes it can be scary to look into the future like what he does. The town did give him so much trouble for the longest time since they don’t often understand what the visions he discovers are trying to say to them until recently.

That is right, rats. They are actually very friendly creatures once you get to know them. Very helpful in handling plenty of chores around the house too.

She's a strong woman then! And powerful too! Ah yes, having weird powers that others don't understand can make things difficult, but that means the town likes him now right?

That's so cool! My brother is really good at making friends with animals, but never like that.

Thankfully it looks like that the townspeople have finally come around to appreciate him even more after all these years. Wow thanks! She is just as strong like any woman regardless how chaotic and stressful things can get for her.

Oh wow, he is also great in making friends with animals too? That is really nice to hear.

Having the people that live around you like you is really good! So I'm glad he has that going for him. and your tia sure has it all figured out!

Yup! I don't know why, but animals love him. One time we had a giant bear chasing us, and even though it took us a while to beat it, Luffy just casually went up to pet it!

Awww that is really amazing that he is able to pet the bear and it happily responding back as if it is a pet. Animals do have feelings like any other sentient being after all.

A young cousin of mine happens to have an affinity towards animals which allows him to talk with them fluently. And as the result, they in turn love him and like to hang out with him often.

yup! he's just that friendly, and animals notice it!

that's such a cool power to have! i bet he has tons of cool animal friends! like tigers or lions!

Yes, it sure is. I can tell you that he has tons of cool animal friends. One of them happens to be a jaguar who is really calm and gentle. And he also has a capybara friend just like me too.

a jaguar?! that's amazing! an capybaras are adorable haha

Oh yes they are really great, right? There is so much amazing wildlife to be found in Colombia and jaguars and capybaras are just among these unique animals native to our home.

That's so cool! The animals in my world are big and scary most times, but we do have cute dogs and capybaras!

Wow! That is really awesome! I never thought that capybaras can be also found in other worlds but it is still great to hear that many worlds have great wildlife too.

Yeah! They're super cute and always taking baths in my world!

I agree with that as well, and so does my cousin too. The capys sure love being in the water often and taking things very slowly and not worrying about everything too much.

Now I want to be a capybara!

Oh that is really a nice idea to be living like a capybara. Maybe you could spot some at the waters of the Wildlands and perhaps you can befriend some while you’re in there. I was able to find my capybara in there over a year ago.

that would be fun! But water and me do not go together, specially not the kind the capybara reside in :(

Oh dear. That is really sad to hear. Is there something that prevents you from swimming in the water?

[donfire]

Yeah, I have this really cool power right? I can use, control, and turn into fire, but in exchange, I lost my ability to be in water. I turn into dead weight.

[senorita_perfecta]

Gaining the ability to turn into fire in exchange to being unable to swim again and be a dead weight in water? Wow, that does come with some catches indeed. Still being able to turn into fire is a pretty neat magic though.

yup, and it's even worse if you live in a place that's mostly water, like my world.

Even with the drawbacks, I find my powers to be super useful and cool!

That is very understandable indeed. Not being able to swim in water with special abilities equipped can be troublesome for some folks. I have lived my life in the rainforest jungles of Colombia so I didn’t got the chance to see that much water or swim in it often other as the only water sources were a river and waterfall not far away from the town I live in.

But I absolutely agree with you too that it doesn’t mean that the other abilities can’t have their own uses and be cool on their own right. I may have super strength or being able to sew and make music like my younger sisters but I can weaponize plants against any enemies as I wish.

Oh forests like that sound really cool! Was it warm?

And hey, flowers can be super dangerous! Aren't there some that are poisonous?

During the summer months it does get hot sometimes but because we’re nearby a river and surrounded by trees it doesn’t get too hot for anyone’s liking.

Yes some plants can be dangerous for anyone to eat, animal and human alike. If one tries to eat some they could run the risk of getting poisoned and that can be horrible to one’s health.
