But what are the pros and cons of each? Friends and family back home?

yeah pretty much
had a friend who disappeared for a coupla years cause of some shit that went down back home
most people forgot he was even around cept for me and coupla others til we got him back
i know it aint the same but leaving and coming back here kinda feels like that you know?

[So far, the reasons Beat gives are reasonable ones, and with him having friends and family in his world that makes things understandably harder. He knows were he his age and had closer ties to his world he likely would have had a tougher time.

Were it not for Tifa, he likely would have returned. And he can only assume it's similar for Beat...]

[Even if another of his friends have left, there were still a number who remained, Eustace included. And, most especially, Futaba. He doesn't even know how to bring this up to her yet.]

We should look more into how traveling between worlds now work. From the sounds of it things are more stable, so perhaps you might be able to return to visit your world every now and then and still come back here.

[Considering Eustace was one of the few people who fully intended to stay, and did something to work towards that, Beat couldn't think of a better person to ask. He also trusted Eustace with his life. It might not be something he would say aloud at random, but he did think that way.]

Of course. We can go to the Observatory first and speak with the researchers there. They should have more information since they've been studying the tethers and connections between worlds.

[And just like that, Eustace immediately had something for him. All throughout his time in Songerein, he's always had his back. A small smile creeps onto Beat's face as he starts writing again.]
