journal 🔶 psa from a former fairy
[Ferran isn't unaware of how these journals work, but he's still working out what pages are "public" and which are for his own private use.
Thus, one evening, a sketch of a building slowly comes together, distinguished by its tall stone towers, walls topped with battlements, wrought iron fences, and a large courtyard. The artist pays special attention to the detailing in the texture, making it easy to imagine what materials the imposing place might be made of. To those familiar with the city of Aefenglom, it's clearly a representation of the Coven.
After he's done, he writes in neat print:]
Don't trust the Fae. Whatever else I've forgotten, I know that much.

We do live in their safe haven, protected from what is out there.

[Ferran has yet to see any of the "danger" that the dream eater warned him about.]
I wonder if this place is theirs any more than it is ours. These houses and shops weren't made for things of their size.

Where do the tapirs live though? I don't think I have seen one's home yet.

[might be nice to find out so he can keep an eye on them...]
I heard some of the creatures were using the town buildings before we got here, and some of them were just out in the forest. No idea about the tapirs, though. Do things that eat dreams even need sleep?

But then, maybe not. If neither sleeping nor eating is done in a specific designated 'home', the need for one might not be felt either.

[... is what he says right now. He might end up losing interest, though, or at least the energy to look into it.]
