Subject: Requesting Personal Stories About Adventures and/or Travels and Other Items in Relation to Dream Board Post #1205

I am in need of numerous stories about any kind of adventure, journey, or travel you may have embarked on be it in this world or your own.

If you've seen my posting on the board, this post is to provide fuller details about the situation. Last month I had been...trapped in a large tree located on the eastern forests, and within this tree are seven dogs which look like corgis. [Have an imprinted image of what the adorable fluffballs look like:]

It all appears to have been pulled in from another world and has remnants of its original magic in place. This magic is a protection spell and prevents the dogs and anything within the tree to leave. Should the dogs somehow manage to leave without it... They will likely die.

Even if it's for their protection, the dogs need and want to go outside. Furthermore, Should something happen to the tree they wouldn't be able to escape. Fortunately, a way to break the original enchantment and cast a new one to protect them as they live in this world has been found. It's simple and requires the following:

Bee Honey
Fish Scales
Adventure Stories

None of these are specific so it's whatever can be found, though the better quality, the better chance of succeeding. However, because of the number of dogs, a large amount of each will be needed to ensure they are properly protected. It would be better if there was a better solution, but this will have to do for now.

As for the adventure stories, as mentioned I need a large amount so I would like to ask any willing to share any personal stories they had. There are no specifics, but I get the sense the story should have some spirit of exploration and discovery, which would fit the purpose of the spell. These stories will be transcribed in a journal used for the spell.

Finally, I am looking to create a headstone. The tree and the dogs had a guardian before, however he perished upon leaving the tree. The remains have been buried, but a headstone would be appropriate as well.

Have you personally dealt with a similar situation, sir?

The queen now has full control of her powers. She stopped the eternal winter, repaired her relationship with her sister, and the people of her kingdom forgave her. She no longer has to live in fear of exposing her powers to her people. Truly, everything worked out for everyone.

[Except for him, but that's the consequences of the choice he made. He can admit it. He just has to be more careful the next time he backstabs someone.]

[ Susato doesn't protest at all, and feels quite at home with the dogs. When the youngest one pulls out its toys, she is more than happy to throw them one at a time, watching as it brings them back to her eagerly, always with its tail wagging.

She does peer over to Eustace at the desk with curiosity, though. When he returns with the green leather journal, she will interrupt her playing to hold a hand out politely, just assuming he will give it to her. ]

[He hadn't really considered just how much he wanted to meet these dogs in person until right now.]

Hell yeah! It'd do them some good to get comfortable around people, right? Even if they're still in the tree. I can write down anything you need, too, but I think it might be a nice change of pace for them.

You found them up there last month, yeah? Any telling how long they've been there overall? Seems like it would be a rough time...

[He's about to hand it to her when one of the dogs barks and shoves their face in her hand instead, blocking him.]

...Looks like they just want to play.

Hey you brats, we need to work.

[ lThe dogs just grumble and whine in disapproval, making Eustace just sigh.]

To that degree, no, however I do understand a bit on keeping things to yourself and not relying or opening up to others, as well as how it can be more detrimental.

But I am glad that things worked out, and I appreciate you sharing your account of this story. I think it will suit the spell's needs.

Since you were a visitor, I take it you left to return home after everything was settled.

They've lived in that tree for all their lives. However, how long the tree has been in this world I'm not sure, but I would say at least a few weeks.

Alright. Bear with me, but I gotta know.

Where do they go to the bathroom if they're all stuck in that tree...?

[ Awwww. Well, it's a happy interruption Susato is happy to indulge, at least for a moment. When Eustace scolds them, she frowns as they start to whine, feeling slightly guilty. ]

Don't be that way. We're doing this for you, after all.

[ She is probably not helping by giving them the attention, but once they calm down, she tries to get the notebook again. ]

Is there a deadline for this spell?

[HONESTLY IT'S A FAIR QUESTION AND HE WONDERED ABOUT IT, TOO—]

There's a bathroom with a small door that leads out to small grassy section. It's technically outside, but it's more like a part of the tree's roots had been hollowed out to create an exterior wall and is still within its protection.

Not that I'm aware, however it would be better before it gets too late into the winter season. Although this area seems safe, it'll be more difficult to traverse and I'd rather not risk anything.

[Balthus' concern had been genuine, and he'd hoped that Eustace would have an answer for him, but he hadn't expected one that thorough.]

Huh. Whoever came up with that arrangement for them really thought of everything, didn't they? Assuming someone thought of it at all. If it just spontaneously appeared, that's pretty lucky for them.

I'll admit, I was a little worried for a minute.

[ She takes the notebook then, quickly licking her pointer finger so that she can flip through it more easily. She just wants an idea of how much of the book is filled already, but if it's blank, that's fine too. She had been prepared for that. ]

I see. I'd better make it soon, then. [ It is already snowing after. ] I can get started today and let you know my progress tomorrow? [ The day after? ASAP? ]

[It's currently blank, but he'll be able to send her material soon.]

That will be appreciated, but don't rush too much. There are still the other materials I'll need to gather as well. For now... Set a deadline for by the end of the week, the longest before the end of the month.

From what I've been able to gather the tree and everything in it including the inhabitants was taken from their world, so it was specifically designed for their use, as well as the caretaker who lives with them.

But whether they're like us where we're just fragments of our real selves or they are like the other inhabitants of this world and cut completely from their world, I'm not sure. So far, unless there's another way have a "duplicate" self in this world, I'm leaning towards the latter given what happened to the previous guardian.

[ Wow... what an easy to comprehend map! Oriphi is genuinely impressed as she uses it to find the corgi tree without any issue. She calls out as she approaches, ]

Eustace? It's Ori. I'm here...!

[One day he'll create a more obvious path, but it's a relief she manages to get through.

The dogs will be the first to notice, two of them "stationed" up by the top window. They bark loudly, their voices carried down as they run down the stairs and joined by the others as they reach the door. Eustace can be heard inside telling them to quiet down before he opens the door and sees Oriphi.]

[And he's interrupted by the dogs barking again.

...Better come inside before they lose themselves and run out.

[ For what it's worth, Ori is especially talented at finding her way around and to trees. That's what spending some time living as a forest hermit does!

Oriphi seems unbothered by all the barking, at the very least, her smile unwavering as she's greeted at the door. ]

They seem excited...!

[ She steps in easily enough, careful to watch out for any dogs that might be looking to slip through on their little legs. ]

[ Oh OK. She was totally prepared to go full throttle, but admittedly it's a bit of a relief (for her wrists, mainly) that it isn't quite that urgent. ]

Alright... I'll start with my own adventures, then, and you can send me whatever else you have at your leisure. [ She shuts the book again. She no longer has her kimono sleeve as hammer space, so thankfully the sweater the powers that be have stuck her in have made it a size too big. ]

...How often do you visit them? If I may ask.

Right now almost daily.

[He crouches down a little to affectionately rub the head of the nearest one before running his hand through its leafy floof hmmm.]

Fortunately the tree's magic provides them with food and they are rather self-sustaining... But it's become routine for me to check on them myself.

They're still getting used to meeting new people, so they've been more rambunctious lately.

[And as soon as Oriphi is in and the door is shut closed, all seven dogs immediately crowd around her. The older ones will be more "polite" and just wiggle their butts in excitement and sniff her while the younger ones try and hop up, their stubby paws only going up to her thighs as they bark happily.]

Hey, I told you not to jump—!

[Going to try and keep them off before they knock over the poor girl!]

I feel that many of us keep at least a few things to ourselves, but we don't have to be afraid about hurting others with magical ice powers. The Queen must've been scared about that for a long time.

You're welcome and yes, I returned home shortly after. I hope to revisit again someday, just to see how they've been doing.

[Apparently pretty well, if the Queen Elsa he met here was any indication. She was definitely more confident and didn't rise to any of his barbs. Hans would be annoyed by all this, if she also didn't show some weird form of sympathy towards him. ...Although, that's annoying in its own way.]

But perhaps I don't have to worry about them.

[ Susato nods, as if to say, "I understand." ]

I was just thinking... it must be hard to leave them. We can stay and keep them company for a bit, surely?

[ Oh no, she's never seen dogs like this before and she can't help but aww at them when they crowd around her so adorably! Thankfully, Ori is stronger and sturdier than she might seem, so she manages to keep her balance even when a few of the pups hop up. ]

It's alright! I'm used to dealing with animals. Though I have to say, I've never encountered dogs like this before! They're so cute.

[ She gives one of the ones that's standing up to paw at her leg some ear scratches! ]

I can imagine so, especially when she only wishes to protect her power and not harm them. So it's true you may not need to worry about her so long as she continues to have the support she needs.

However I'm curious. Is magic common in your world?

[Yaaaaaaaay ear scritches!!! Or so their expression seems to say. Eustace only sighs and shakes his head a little, but he can't really scold them too much. It's clear it's been a long time since they've had so much attention and affection and he can only do so much, so there is a bit of a wry look that replaces his initial exasperation.]

In my world they're a breed called "corgis" and are mainly used for herding sheep and cattle. Their lower stature helps them avoid the kicks and easier for them to dart in and out.
