I'm already decent with social media like Facebook and Twitter, but social media in an actual book? Kinda weird!

There isn't even an internet here! Or at least my phone isn't getting any reception at all, not shocking.

Which brings me to a huge question. I flipped through this thing and saw that people found these power crystal things? I think they said something about powering stuff but slowly? Does that mean we had something like electricity because I'm probably gonna start missing central heating if this snow keeps up.

Also, why are all the houses trees and treehouses? I'm used to having a nice view out the window, but penthouses don't usually come with fruit and giant bugs.

You don't have to live in a tree. There are plenty of abandoned buildings within the town itself if you want to put in the time and effort to make one liveable.

Get used to your fireplace (do they heat places any other way ?) if you have one. You can make electricity happen but it needs a lot of constant effort. Which is exhausting. There are decrepit big buildings out there but none of them are also designed to be a house. They also probably have spiders the size of tanks inside so you aren't winning, either way. There isn't a normal animal or insect that exists here.

Yeah, that's what I'm getting from past posts. And yeah, there's this neat invention that heats your house without going out to get logs all the time.

You can live in a tree, you can put in some work to fix up one of the empty houses, or you can build a new house. Those are your options as they currently stand.

In short, yes. By focusing on your phone and imagining it working, you are lending your power to it. But the more strenuous the software, the more tiring it is, and the longer it takes. For example, reading chat logs is easier than playing a music video.

Well, you don’t have to live in a treehouse while in Reverein though. There are plenty of abandoned buildings and houses for you to pick from and make them into a more livable home.

Several of us thought the same. There's a message in the journals from Futaba Sakura. You've probably already read it. I believe she's planning to experiment with attaching a crystal to her laptop. You will also want to watch entries made by Azmuth and Luca Balsa.

Well, you can always ask for help to get the house to a more livable state, even using a little bit of dreamotion energy.

I will admit to say that renovating a house or a treehouse is not a one person job: when me and the first batch of deamwalkers came here months ago, we had to team up in order to get the treehouses in good shape and make good use of our skills to help each other.

He also didn't realize he could just ask for help here. The thought just... Never occurred to him for some reason. And even now he feels kind of weird about letting someone he barely even knows into where his house is gonna be.

So... What's the situation with the treehouses now? Are most of the unoccupied ones still in need of repairs?

As of now, some of the treehouses in here, like mine, have been renovated for months, but there are still plenty of treehouses that aren’t occupied for a while now. Some at some point were once lived by other dreamwalkers, but I think that some of them had left since then.

If you stay long in here for long, the interior does change to reflect the resident inside the treehouse through the influence of the dreamotion energy.

I would agree, living in a treehouse at this time is a better living situation than having to set up a camp in the forest nearby.

Currently, we have a barter system since Reverein doesn’t have a concrete currency system that we can use to purchase anything at the moment.

One heavily armored fellow had once gave me a potion after I found ropes for him at the backroom of the shop.

At the moment, she currently accepts any materials, fabrics, and tools for making clothes.

Currently, you can try to ask some silkworms and spiders to get the threads while I think that the fabrics will do show from time to time in random places.

If you can ask them very politely, they can give them to you. That is how I and the partner who I paired with were able to get those threads.

Honestly I don't care what gets the job done as long as I'm not freezing, so they'll do the work here. But if there's some other convenient way they can think of without effort from me, then I'll take it. Will probably take a lot of magic or supplies or stones, whatever they use here. The slugs themselves were a one time thing (unless they just stashed them somewhere, wouldn't surprise me). There ARE other annoying magic creatures though. Don't assume any animal is normal and/or doesn't do something stupid to you. I'm used to plants having ridiculous magical properties, but the absurd animals are a vaguely new touch. (Except for six legged horses which are really uncanny and weird.)

Magical or some asinine size. Have you seen some of these things? A grasshopper the size of a carriage landed on my house's tree this morning and shook some of the roof loose. It's a nightmare. And they're HIDEOUS.
