It's been a couple months now, so i've gotta ask...
Does anybody here actually understand how this dreamotion stuff works?! I tried watching people, I tried asking the locals about it, I tried doing it myself, and it's not making any frickin sense! it's like magic right? so maybe i'm just no good for it, my people aren't exactly known for their skill with astral artes.[unless you're Rinwell. But she's special.]Unless somebody can actually teach me maybe I should just give up. It's not like I actually need this stuff, right?

❰ not one to be on the up and up in a place where he feels that fully integrating is still a form of treason, the whole deal with owls and santa claus has totally gone over emil's head. he stays in his tree house, goes out to enjoy himself from time to time, comes back and that's that.
unluckily enough for him, he's chosen a day of owlet extravaganza to go outside and get fresh air. reclining against the base of a tree not too far from the one he calls home, everything is uneventful. no huge bugs, the weather is mild as far as he's concerned. there's no noise— well, actually, hold that thought. there is a high-pitched sound off in the distance, but no matter. the closer it gets, the more his aggravation shifts from being underlying to obvious, especially if the crease in his brow is any indication. but the time it finally gets close enough to be within sight line, the smell of burnt ground becomes more apparent.
the sight he sees: a small owlet, screeching and running, flapping like mad while every beat of its wings pushes a cloud of fire forward. the bird veers close enough to emil that he has to tuck in his legs to avoid his shoes being burnt.
what...was that? did he miss a memo?? is this just another thing that happens here??? ❱A bird just tried to set me on fire ?

Subject: City kid unused to whatever this is.
I'm already decent with social media like Facebook and Twitter, but social media in an actual book? Kinda weird!
There isn't even an internet here! Or at least my phone isn't getting any reception at all, not shocking.
Which brings me to a huge question. I flipped through this thing and saw that people found these power crystal things? I think they said something about powering stuff but slowly? Does that mean we had something like electricity because I'm probably gonna start missing central heating if this snow keeps up.
Also, why are all the houses trees and treehouses? I'm used to having a nice view out the window, but penthouses don't usually come with fruit and giant bugs.

It's okay, he'll adapt.]Just between uz, saw a man throw a shoe directly at another fella! Straight from the ground to a treehouse and it knocked the guy clean over! Everyone talkin' about these dreamotion abilities, but I witnessed with my very eyes how effective a shoe can be.
Maybe we should all start practicin' that move. But if you wanna tell me an effective alternative, I got me eyes open. Ya know, in case I run outta shoes.( action post with him tackling some treehouse pruning )

Songerein—
A dream world born from the clash of three different universes. One world produced emotion energy, a byproduct created when one's emotions manifested into a more tangible force. Another produced dream energy, a byproduct of one's dreams that allowed one to view and traverse through them. Both worlds produced so much excess energy they were diverted into an empty universe and happened to collide, producing a new, strange world made up of a new source, dreamotion energy. It remained a barren wasteland until a tear through the dimensions appeared and the concepts of fairy tales poured through. Magic, creatures, environments—they were all dumped in a central location and life began to form. But were they real? Or just figments of what they used to be? Regardless, this giant clash has created a unique world filled with unlimited possibilities.
But of course, a clash of this size would have some side effects. The dream energy in particular remains volatile and continues to seep out with its innate ability to connect to any dream in any world. If there is a strong enough resonance between the dreamer and dream energy, a version of the dreamer, a dream self, is formed and pulled into Songerein while the original body remains in their world safe, unharmed, and unaware of what's going on. Only after accumulating enough dreamotion energy can the dream self "wake up" and leave Songerein to return to its original body, all its experiences felt like a strange, long dream.
Fortunately, Songerein is relatively...peaceful. It's a brand new world after all with only the fairy tale creatures and the dream selves, or dreamwalkers as they are officially called, pulled from other worlds as its denizens. There may be times the different energies become unstable, but it only creates a slight disturbance that eventually settles. Still, the constant connecting and reconnecting through the dream energy means that different things are randomly pulled in and disappear from the world. Those who have decided to make Songerein their home want to build onto it by using the ability to traverse through dreams to their advantage. By creating dreamshifts, they can create giant dreamscapes based on other worlds that large groups of dreamwalkers can enter and bring back concepts to be used in Songerein. Beginning with fairy tales, dreamwalkers could also form dreamshifts based on their own home worlds to bring in something from there. As a bonus, this uses the excess dreamotion energy within the world, helping stabilize it.
So, what kind of world will Songerein become? Just remember…

Songerein is a panfandom game based on the following three former games: Somarium, Empatheias, and Forgotten Tales. At its core it is a worldbuilding game with adventure and character development. Player and character action will be what decides what is brought into Songerein, be it for good or ill. Although it's expected for players to be able to create their own fun and not rely solely on the mods, Songerein is billed to be more of a relaxed game for everyone to have fun in.
