Hey there! You can just call me Alphen. I've already encountered many warriors and seasoned soldiers. We have strong fighters here.

I'm interested in seeing weaponry or combat gear. There are some really neat swords with intriguing designs. Still, I know that a weapon can be lethal all the same. So I've been meaning to ask a question as well.

For what reason would you fight?

I fight to protect my friends. I want to use my strength for the right reasons.

Granted, all I know how to do is wield a sword. I'd be more than glad to put those skills to use. I'm willing to spar and exchange combat moves with someone. Maybe we can learn with one another. I can't exactly let my blade rust when seriously powerful beasts could attack at any moment.

Maybe you just like large weapons. Have you considered that possibility?

I'm not in a position to make any assumptions but the reason could be a simple one.

I think little me thought precisely that: "It's the biggest weapon here. Clearly, this is made for me!"

I really didn't put that much thought into it and just said what I was thinking.

With a large weapon you can use some seriously cool moves!

My Primal Rend technique is quite the thrill. For me. Not my foe.

But to lead a party of adventurers or friends into some long-forgotten ruins, tearing my way through angered spirits or fragments of malicious power... oh, I hadn't realized I could make such a dream a reality!

Most days I'd smash magitek weapons and their riders. Watching the sparks fly is something, but sometimes you want to go up against some beasties.

I've seen my fair share of powerful foes in this realm. There was this one enemy I just couldn't defeat for some reason.

Only managed to disarm them with help from a friend. You might want to keep your weapon close by because there's no telling what will happen down here.

That should be no problem. My home land has spent considerable time as unapproachable not because of its geography, but for its people.

To ambush a xaela auri is folly.

You should be able to manage just fine then. I always wear armor even when things seem peaceful.

The extra defense would do more good than harm.

I don't know how you keep swinging around giant axes all day.

It took some getting used to, for sure. But the trade-off is learning how to make hits count so you're not swinging things around for long.

People misunderstand- An axe-wielding berserker is one who seeks to end battles quickly. We're not complete meatheads. Just meaty!

That makes sense to me.

Having your attacks land the way you want them to still takes a considerable amount of skill.

It is. It does take some finesse. To think, I got so tired of being called a 'savage' when, really, the way I fight is like art...
