Hey there! You can just call me Alphen. I've already encountered many warriors and seasoned soldiers. We have strong fighters here.

I'm interested in seeing weaponry or combat gear. There are some really neat swords with intriguing designs. Still, I know that a weapon can be lethal all the same. So I've been meaning to ask a question as well.

For what reason would you fight?

I fight to protect my friends. I want to use my strength for the right reasons.

Granted, all I know how to do is wield a sword. I'd be more than glad to put those skills to use. I'm willing to spar and exchange combat moves with someone. Maybe we can learn with one another. I can't exactly let my blade rust when seriously powerful beasts could attack at any moment.

Have you ever tried using another weapon, Alphen? I bet a guy like you could be pretty handy with an axe or a lance! You just have to be like BAM and K-SHAW and FWIP with it. [Yes, he actually wrote out those sound effects.]

Oh or I could show you how to fight with your whole body, just like Dad taught me! Don't need to worry about weapons when you are a weapon!

No, actually I haven't used other weapons nearly as much. It's either that or I can't remember.

The way Zephyr fights is a sight to behold. He's an experienced fighter and there's no denying that. You're just as strong too, Law. I'll do my best to learn what I can from you.

I typically fight to survive. But lately I've gained friends to fight for and protect, myself.

I'm typically more of a hammer or axe girl, but I can trade blows with a swordboy.

Aren't those weapons heavy? Can't imagine an axe being any lighter.

I fight to protect my sect and my family, and because it is my duty as a cultivator of Yunmeng Jiang. We are trained to fight dangers the common folk don't stand a chance against, thus it is our duty to do so.

I use the sword and whip.

Fighting to protect those important to you because it's your duty...I can respect that. We all have something worth defending.

Being able to use more than one weapon must be a huge advantage. Did you feel that you were more skilled at one weapon in particular?

I fight the darkness so that no one else has to.

[ Fighting the darkness so that no one else had to do it sounds almost a little lonely in some ways. Alphen at least recognizes Diluc from before too. It's been a while since they've last spoken. That much is true. ]

Would you fight the darkness by being light? That sounds like a difficult battle.

For a time I used to only fight to stay alive.

But curious, have you tried dual wielding?

Hm? It depends. If I want to dual wield I'd need Shionne there with me. You've met her already haven't you?

You use a gun! Interesting. I know someone who's really good at using guns. She never misses a shot.

Have you been shown any particularly interesting weapons as of yet? I know how very deep an appreciation you have for such things.

I had the opportunity to see some unique weapons! I'm thankful for that. It's a once in a lifetime experience.

It's all too easy to misuse strength and be led astray by it.
