hey guys! i'm sora! i've been hanging out in this world for about five months now!

i wanted to asked everyone something that might help me figure out what i'm looking for. i wanted to ask what you think a heart is made out of.

and i don't mean your heart that makes your body work. i mean your heart. the thing inside of you that makes you who you are. that makes you happy or feel great. that makes you angry or cry. the heart inside of you that makes you part of everything around you or makes you see the light or darkness in your world.

i guess some people would call those souls? but i've always known them as hearts!

i wanna know what you think makes you, you. what your heart says about you! and how you think it got there.

how do we get essence and soul? something like it comes from our memories im guessing

Essence is what forms dreams and memories, and thoughts. But I am not sure where it comes from. It does appear to be all around though.

[Especially here, presumably, if this is a dream world.]

Soul is even more confusing.

do you have a lot of essences? i guess a lot of dreams and memories?

I was made differently. I do have memories, and could have dreams, but I don't think I have essence the same as everyone else.

wow! you were made differently? kind of sounds like you weren't born or something?

it's not bad that you don't have the essence, is it? what about your dreams and memories, won't they make it?

I came from the abyss but I only remember some things about it.

I have no idea. We weren't supposed to have many dreams, and yet, somehow we do.

And they can be infected too.

So maybe they really are the same thing.

[Oh- Abyss presence. Why does Sora think "Heartless" right away?? A talking writing heartless?]

when you say all of that maybe you're not that different from the person i'm trying to help too. if you don't have a heart or essence but you can still have your own dreams or memories. there must be something special about you.

uh but yeah i'm trying to help someone who doens't have a heart. i want to help him get one.

I suppose I had been called other things before. But someone else had asked about it too.

[Maybe they should come up with something soon...]

[And also that... it's hard to say likely but--] Are they a vessel too?

maybe we should pick a name for you. that would nice, wouldn't it?

and for him... maybe at one time he used to be something like that. but he's his own person now. he's all him and no one else. not a vessel or anything. all he's missing is that last peice.

I should decide on something, if it would make it easier. How do you pick a name?

[It seems difficult, in a way. Or a lot of pressure. There's so many types of names out there.]

[As for the answer, well, they can't actually emote either but they felt a sort of sadness.]

Not a vessel then. Or a rejected one. That is likely for the better.

i think a name can be anything you want it to be. maybe something that you think sounds cool or something that is meaningful for you! if it helps i know my name means the sky.

and you know it sounds like you and him might actually have a lot in common. i wonder what he would say if he got to talk to you too.
